Must reside within the Portland metro area. Hours: Monday – Friday, may include some evenings and/or weekends Starting Salary: $71,020-76,320 DOE Eligible for Language Differential Classification: Exempt, Unrepresented, Full-Time, Benefit Eligible GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Manager of Landlord-Tenant Services oversees Transition Projects’ Landlord Engagement Program and Rent Well, a tenant education program owned and administered by Transition Projects. The Manager coordinates the delivery and administration of the Rent Well Program throughout Oregon and Washington. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate the Rent Well eCourses or otherwise at Transition Projects. Review, edit, and develop curriculum and course materials, including the website, support materials, canned FAQ responses, and general promotional materials. Manage and increase the utilization of the Rent Well curriculum at other agencies and affiliates. Host instructor and community trainings, as well as other educational outreach opportunities. Develop program policies and procedures to support identified program outcomes, equity, safety, and fiscal responsibility for the internal program, eCourse, and instructor-led courses. Provide outreach, referrals, and education to students, instructors, agencies, and landlords regarding the program. Develop and maintain relationships with tenant advocacy groups, landlord and property management associations, and local policy makers to promote tenant education and housing access for low-income renters. Coordinate with the Public Policy and Funding department to strategize and advocate at local, state, and/or federal levels regarding tenant-landlord relationships and expansion of funding and supports for tenant education. Manage and process incoming payments, invoicing, and budgetary needs. Supervise staff, complete evaluations, and manage payroll and reimbursement functions. Contribute to accurate and comprehensive file reviews, as well as data, funding, and grant requests and reports. Attend agency management and committee meetings. Other duties as assigned. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS Each Transition Projects employee must: Acquire First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire and be retested biannually thereafter throughout employment. Complete Bloodborne Pathogens and Narcan Training within 30 days of hire and be retested annually thereafter throughout employment. Demonstrate reliability by being present for work as scheduled, arriving and leaving on time and taking breaks in expected time frames. Interact effectively with persons of diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, cultural backgrounds, and sexual orientations and treat each individual with respect and dignity. Attend agency and program staff meetings. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee, with or without accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Hearing and vision adequate for interaction with participants, interaction with staff and interaction with the general public. Hearing adequate for telephone work. Vision adequate for close work. Hand and finger dexterity adequate to operate standard office equipment. Ability to walk, bend, stand, sit, reach, stoop, pull, squat, kneel, climb stairs and ladders Sitting at a desk completing paperwork and working on a computer for lengthy periods. Mobility to allow responsive traveling to participant residences located around the metro area. Ability to perform CPR and other emergency life-saving care with the assistance of teammates until emergency responders arrive. Ability to lift 50 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS / SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS Work environments may include exposure to animals/pets across various program sites. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The right individual for this position is resourceful and innovative, a strong leader, has a passion for helping others, and can deal with difficult situations in positive and constructive ways. This position also requires the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field + 2-3 years of experience managing or supervising similar programs -OR- 3-5 years of experience managing or supervising similar programs. Ability to instruct or facilitate instruction in a classroom setting of 15-50 individuals at a time. Curriculum development and Learning Management Systems expertise strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of landlord-tenant laws, fair housing laws, and housing barriers. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement program procedures. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized records. Demonstrated ability to prepare and present reports and proposals. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a service team. Ability and willingness to become certified as a Rent Well instructor. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with word processing, databases, calendars, spreadsheets, email, internet, and graphic design programs. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
