About Lyric National

At Lyric National Inc., we're rewriting the script for long-term care, providing skilled nursing facilities with a single-source concierge platform, and residents with access to robust medical options that enhance their quality of in-facility care. We are committed to improving healthcare access and financial sustainability, serving as a dedicated advocate in building the standard of senior care.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Medicaid Billing Specialist with experience in Illinois Medicaid systems to join our Lincolnwood office operations. This role centers on four platforms (MEDI, ABE, RFMS, and PCC) and the income liability workflow that connects them. You will own the accuracy of each income adjustment from the first document gathered to the final record update, and you will serve as a technical billing resource for our Sales team as new facility partners come on board. Experienced MEDI users can work remotely or hybrid, while candidates newer to MEDI will start with on-site support.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Medical Electronic Data Interchange (MEDI): Own the end-to-end process within the Illinois MEDI system, ensuring all resident data, eligibility, and liability updates are processed without error
  • Application For Benefits Eligibility (ABE): Gather and upload all necessary documents into the ABE platform pertaining to all income adjustments
  • Resident Fund Management Service (RFMS): Accurately log all new financial details to RFMS regarding updated resident income
  • PointClickCare (PCC): Submit updated resident records and adjustments into PCC
  • Strategic Advocate: Collaborate with the Sales team during facility onboarding to provide technical billing guidance and assist in the onboarding of new partners

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily income adjustments for Medicaid residents, including income liability changes, through MEDI
  • Keep records consistent across MEDI, ABE, RFMS, and PCC so a single income change is reflected accurately in every system
  • Serve as the technical billing lead during facility onboarding, supporting Sales and new partner facilities
  • Identify gaps in current billing procedures and implement refined processes (e.g., a streamlined income-adjustment audit)
  • Stay current on new systems, internal processes, and Illinois regulatory updates

Work Arrangement (Illinois Residents):

Your work arrangement depends on your experience with the Illinois MEDI system:

  • 2+ years of hands-on MEDI experience: Remote or hybrid, your choice, with occasional in-office days for team meetings and onboarding support
  • Less than 2 years of MEDI experience: Hybrid or on-site at our Lincolnwood office during an initial training period, with the opportunity to move to a remote or hybrid schedule once you've shown proficiency in MEDI and the connected systems

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of Medicaid billing experience within a care facility (i.e., Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care) or medical billing company
  • Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of income adjustments and liability updates; experience with ABE, RFMS, and PointClickCare (PCC) is strongly valued
  • Operational Expertise: Strong knowledge of SNF operations and resident income liability
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with Sales and facility staff during onboarding, and able to explain technical billing concepts clearly
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Professional Mindset: A self-starter who works autonomously with a high level of accuracy and collaborates well with stakeholders
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: Prior healthcare administrative, finance, accounts receivable, or operations experience within care facilities (i.e., SNF, Hospice Care, Physical Therapy, Home Help or Hospitals)
  • Onboarding: Prior experience supporting new facility or client onboarding

Benefits:

  • Health Insurance
  • Dental & Vision Coverage
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
