ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage an assigned portfolio of individual, corporate, business, and community donors and sponsors. Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects to meet annual revenue, retention, and growth goals set with the Director of Support and Giving.
- Develop and carry out donor and account plans, giving proposals, and sponsorship packages. Recommend gift and sponsorship levels and recognition benefits within approved pricing and the Gift Acceptance Policy. Route nonstandard terms, restricted gifts, naming requests, cause-marketing, and commercial co-venture proposals to the Director of Support and Giving, Finance, and Compliance before any commitment is made.
- Conduct donor and sponsor meetings, presentations, and stewardship communications, including occasional evening and weekend events and engagements.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Communications on fundraising campaigns, sponsorship materials, and donor recognition. Confirm that sponsor acknowledgments follow qualified sponsorship standards and do not include product endorsements, comparative or qualitative claims, pricing, or purchase inducements unless Finance has approved advertising treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely donor, pledge, contact, and activity records in the approved donor CRM. Protect donor information consistent with the donor privacy policy and honor donor communication and opt-out preferences.
- Coordinate with Finance on pledge documentation, gift processing, written gift acknowledgments, quid pro quo disclosures, restricted-gift documentation, and donation reconciliation. Do not independently deposit, record, or reconcile funds received.
- Track and report pipeline, revenue, donor retention, and other departmental KPIs monthly. Analyze results and recommend adjustments to fundraising strategy.
- Represent PTSD Foundation of America at community, business, and networking events. Describe the Foundation accurately as a faith-based, peer-to-peer interim housing program serving veterans suffering from PTSD, and obtain written consent through approved procedures before any veteran story, name, or image is used in donor or sponsor materials.
