The data and analytics sector plays a strategic role in data valorization, development of analytics capabilities and artificial intelligence within Desjardins. As the sector undergoes a major transformation, it is updating its delivery model and work methods to support Desjardins’s future ambitions. This direction is in line with the data and analytics sector’s official positioning. As Manager, Project Delivery, Data and Analytics, you contribute directly to the sector’s ability to achieve its priorities and deliver lasting value to members and clients. Reporting to the Project Delivery Administrative Department, you lead a team of project management professionals and also serve as the delivery manager for one or more delivery clusters or themes. You maintain an integrated view of project deliverables that you’re responsible for and guide consolidated performance and predictability. You work in a matrix environment and build strong partnerships with various stakeholders, including suppliers, to secure delivery commitments, oversee their contributions, formulate recommendations, and manage the required escalations. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Lead, mobilize and develop the project management team, by making sure that coverage is adapted to delivery needs and priorities
  • Assign project managers and delivery capacities based on priorities, complexity, criticality and required skills
  • Assess the feasibility and success factors of upstream initiatives, including capacity, sequencing, dependencies and key delivery risks
  • Manage the integrated performance of the delivery of themes and projects under your responsibility, from planning to closing
  • Ensure the quality and integration of delivery plans, and make sure that the delivery plans, milestones, critical paths, forecasts and assumptions are realistic
  • Consolidate and communicate the health, plans, budgets, schedules, capacities, risks, issues, dependencies and forecasts for all projects under your responsibility
  • Anticipate gaps and cross-sector issues and proactively secure delivery commitments
  • Oversee recovery plans, ensure the required arbitration and decision-making, and present recommendations or escalations to the appropriate governance bodies when gaps or dependencies jeopardize delivery commitments.
  • Oversee supplier contributions and ensure that contracts, monitoring mechanisms, and deliverables comply with Desjardins' project management frameworks and standards
  • Update practices, skills and delivery methods by helping to make ongoing improvements and changes to the operating model.

  • 4 weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first year
