General Summary

Responsible for the development, review, and submission of all GTI Energy proposals seeking business from government (Federal, State, Local, etc.) and commercial sponsors. The position works closely with a broad array of internal and external staff in coordinating GTI Energy proposal development.

Work Location

The position will be based in the Chicagoland area at the GTI Energy Headquarters. We offer a hybrid/core work week, where employees are remote Mondays and Fridays, and required to be on-site Tuesday through Thursday, subject to manager discretion.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manager for all members of the GTI Energy Proposal Center.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform cost and pricing of proposals, to be submitted to Government and commercial sponsors, and ensure all proposals are in compliance with Sponsor requirements
  • Review subordinates' proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness before submitting proposals on behalf of GTI Energy.
  • Manage direct reports and department processes to meet department goals.
  • Serve as internal advisor regarding proposals, solicitations, and Government acquisitions.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must have excellent proposal and pricing skills
  • Possess good negotiating skills
  • General knowledge of government contract regulations
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train and develop skills of subordinates
  • Proficiency in ProPricer is a plus
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years’ experience with contracts, negotiations and pricing of cost proposals.
  • Working knowledge of ProPricer or other budgeting programs
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 USD annually. This salary range is GTI Energy’s good faith estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, GTI Energy’s business or organizational needs and an individual’s relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, and/or performance. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus. The range listed is just one component of GTI Energy’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, paid time off, and region-specific benefits.
