Job Summary

The primary role of the Manager of Provider Relations is to lead the team to build and maintain strong relationships with our provider network and ensure compliance with the company's Policies and Procedures. This manager position is responsible for the Provider Specialists – Inbound, Credentialing Specialist teams as well any other team that falls under the Network Management. Proactively, the Manager should respond to changing trends to identify areas of opportunity to increase the efficiencies of our department processes and optimize network retention. This individual will become a subject matter expert in all areas relevant to our providers once they become part of the network. In this role, the individual will be expected to provide support to team members and Supervisors in order to help them achieve their goals. The Manager is expected to utilize a variety of reporting tools in order to measure individual, team, and network performance. In this role, individuals will be expected to perform coaching and performance management tasks to ensure their team performs at their best.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of assigned teams
  • Assist Leadership with developing objectives for the team's day–to- day activities.
  • Oversight of SLAs reporting responsibilities. Working with the leaders to ensure we are not only meeting but exceeding department's goals.
  • Coach and mentor teams
  • Identify trends through the compilation and analysis of data
  • Propose solutions and enhancements to areas of opportunity
  • Report findings and escalate issues to leadership and other stakeholders
  • Present professional communications around results achieved and areas for improvement
  • Create and utilize control and status reports utilizing MIDAS and other ad hoc reporting to monitor Network Management for all teams reporting to Manager
  • Perform evaluations and provide regular feedback on individual performance
  • Assist with conducting effective resource planning to maximize productivity including but not limited to people and technology resources.
  • Oversight of all new hires, completion of paperwork for new hires, terminations, promotions and separations.
  • Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks
  • Ensure confidentiality of all patient accounts by following HIPAA guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Flexibility to manage multiple high priority tasks
  • Supporting and developing projects that impact the department and the business
  • Solid communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MIDAS
  • Proficiency with MS Office Products, advanced Excel knowledge required
  • Analytical and results driven
  • Understanding of HIPAA policies and procedures


Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • The work environment characteristics described here is representative of those of a standard office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position over 50% of the work day; move about inside the office to access files or office equipment; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls to operate a computer and other office productivity machines; reach with hands and arms; must communicate and converse with co-workers; and detect/discern information accurately. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
