Our Newest Opportunity:

The Manager, Regional Events & Experience owns the flawless execution of OneDigital's Central & South Region event portfolio — a multi-market portfolio spanning client summits and executive engagements, high-impact tradeshows, half-day seminars, and the region's Client Advisory Council. This is a senior field marketing role for a strategic event owner who is also a doer.

The Manager receives an event brief with goals, audience, budget, and desired business outcomes from Growth Marketing or Client Experience Marketing leadership — and runs with it. They translate strategy into a fully realized event: the project plan, the venue, the vendors, the run of show, the activation, the attendee experience, the on-site execution, the budget reconciliation, and the measurement. They inform strategy through pattern recognition across the portfolio, and they set the standard for how events get built. But their accountability is execution, and it is expected to be independent.

Alongside portfolio execution, the Manager builds the infrastructure the region currently lacks: one regional event operating model, one shared activation library, one event calendar of record, one event tiering standard, and one event-to-pipeline measurement approach — replacing templates, toolkits, and playbooks currently being built separately across three teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The Manager personally leads the region's most complex and highest-visibility events while setting standards and building repeatable infrastructure.

Open to the following locations: Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Ohio, Illinois and Minnesota.

How This Role Works - Ownership Model

This role serves a number of markets in partnership with growth and client experience marketers. Clarity on ownership is essential to how it operates.

This Role Owns:

  • Flawless execution of select high-profile high-impact events
  • Event project management, timelines, and production calendars
  • Venue and vendor sourcing, negotiation, and management
  • Run of show, on-site leadership, and staffing
  • Booth, activation, and attendee experience design
  • Budget management, tracking, and reconciliation
  • The regional event operating model, standards, and tiering
  • Post-event measurement, reporting, and insight including registration reconciliation

Growth Marketing & Client Experience Own:

  • Event strategy, goals, and business objectives
  • Target audience definition, ICP, and account prioritization
  • Audience recruitment and attendance — filling the room
  • Producer, consultant, and market leadership engagement
  • Content direction, speakers, and messaging strategy
  • Post-event follow-up, lead disposition, and pipeline conversion
  • Client Advisory Council strategy, membership, and facilitation
  • Investment-level decisions on which events the region runs

Prioritization across portfolios. The Manager operates a single regional event intake and tiering standard applied consistently across the growth and client experience portfolios. Where competing demand cannot be resolved through that standard, prioritization decisions escalate to the Senior Director, Marketing — Central Region, in consultation with the VP, Marketing — South Region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Event Execution & Project Management · Primary Accountability

  • Take ownership of event briefs from Growth Marketing and Client Experience Marketing leadership and independently drive them from brief to post-event reporting, without requiring day-to-day direction.
  • Build and manage comprehensive project plans, production calendars, task ownership, and critical-path timelines across a concurrent, multi-market event portfolio.
  • Lead venue sourcing and site selection, vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, insurance and risk management, and compliance review, securing best value and quality.
  • Own all event logistics end to end — registration, room blocks, food and beverage, AV, signage, shipping, materials, giveaways, staffing plans, and contingency planning.
  • Develop and own the run of show for high-impact event, and provide on-site leadership as the senior point of accountability at the region's most complex engagements.
  • Partner with regional and local market leadership, consultants, and producers to align on logistics, staffing, and on-site roles well ahead of execution.
  • Anticipate and resolve execution risk proactively; escalate with a recommended solution rather than an open question.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing and Client Experience Marketing teammates on event positioning, messaging, branding, and promotional strategy, ensuring every event and every attendee-facing asset presents consistently against OneDigital brand standards.

Regional Event Operating Model & Standards

  • Build and own a single Central & South Region event operating model, consolidating the templates, playbooks, workspace standards, and AI-enabled event toolkits currently maintained separately across growth and client experience teams.
  • Establish and maintain a shared regional activation library of reusable, proven event assets so any market can deploy a tested activation without rebuilding it from scratch.
  • Define and enforce an event tiering standard that governs investment level, staffing model, production effort, and measurement expectations by event type.
  • Own the single regional event calendar of record across both portfolios, including date conflict resolution, market coverage balance, and forward visibility into conferences and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Continuously improve event processes, project management practices, and quality standards; identify and retire duplicated effort.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools to accelerate event planning, content production, attendee communications, survey analysis, and reporting, ensuring all outputs meet OneDigital brand, quality, and compliance standards.

Client Experience & Executive Event Production

  • Lead event production and logistics for the Central & South Region Client Advisory Councils in support of the Regional Director of Client Experience Marketing, who retains ownership of council strategy, membership, and facilitation.
  • Lead production of client summits, appreciation events, educational series, executive roundtables, retention rewards experiences, and client testimonial shoots.
  • Design and deliver an elevated, consistent attendee experience across the client-facing portfolio — arrival through follow-up — appropriate to an executive audience.
  • Uphold a consistent standard of quality, brand stewardship, and hospitality across every client touchpoint in the portfolio.

Sponsorship, Vendor & Budget Management

  • Manage the regional event and sponsorship spend, tracking expenditures, cost savings, and cost avoidance, and delivering post-event financial reconciliation.
  • Evaluate sponsorship and event investments, negotiate packages and entitlements, and recommend whether to renew, restructure, or exit decisions based on performance.
  • Own vendor, venue, agency, and partner relationships across the region, holding partners to contracted quality and service levels.
  • Support annual budget planning and forecasting for the regional events function with defensible, historical cost data.
  • Partner with national team counterparts on shared sponsorship tools, national conference presence, and enterprise vendor relationships.

Measurement, Reporting & Insight

  • Establish and own the South and Central region event-to-pipeline measurement standard in partnership with Growth Marketing leadership, separating sourced, influenced, and sales-owned outcomes with clear lead-disposition accountability.
  • Deliver consistent post-event reporting across the portfolio — attendance, engagement, attendee feedback, budget performance, and business outcomes.
  • Own the standard for the regional event data infrastructure — event databases, invitation and audience lists, survey instruments, and reporting tools — and ensure it is maintained, optimized, and consistently applied across both portfolios.
  • Use event management and marketing analytics platforms to track portfolio performance and surface patterns across markets and event types.
  • Bring portfolio-level insight and recommendations to the VP and regional leadership — what to repeat, what to scale, what to stop.
  • Inform forward event strategy through evidence from the portfolio, contributing recommendations on event mix, investment level, and format.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Divide the event portfolio between Manager and Senior Specialist so that each event, and each major workstream within a shared event, has one clear owner; adjust the split as calendar demand and development needs change.
  • Build a division of ownership that develops the Senior Specialist's independence and scope over time.
  • Identify and support professional development aligned to business needs and individual growth goals.
  • Serve as a mentor and practical resource on event execution to marketers, consultants, and producers across the region.
  • Model OneDigital's people-first, high-performance culture — accountability, care, curiosity, and continuous learning.

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field required.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing marketing events, conferences, and meetings required.
  • Demonstrated experience owning events across a wide range of scale and volume — from intimate executive sessions of 10-30 to large-scale events and conference presences of 200-500+ attendees.
  • Proven experience across both client-facing or membership-style engagement events and B2B industry conference or tradeshow execution. Experience in only one of the two will be considered with clear evidence of transferable capability.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating the work of team members, contractors, or vendors in support of event execution; direct people management experience preferred.
  • Proven experience independently managing event budgets, vendor and venue contracts, and post-event financial reconciliation.
  • Experience building repeatable event processes, templates, or playbooks adopted by others — not only executing individual events.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with event management platforms; experience with Cvent strongly preferred.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Wrike, Microsoft Planner, or Asana.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Working proficiency with design tools such as Canva; Adobe InDesign a plus.
  • Familiarity with marketing and analytics platforms including HubSpot, Power BI, and Google Analytics; ability to interpret event performance data and connect it to business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and practical fluency with AI-enabled tools, with a proactive mindset toward applying them to planning efficiency, content production, and reporting.

Capabilities

  • Exceptional project management and organizational discipline, with proven ability to run multiple concurrent events across multiple markets without loss of detail.
  • High degree of autonomy and ownership — able to take a brief and deliver against it independently, surfacing decisions that genuinely require input and resolving the rest.
  • Meticulous attention to detail paired with sound judgment about which details carry weight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to set clear expectations and give direction to vendors, stakeholders, and senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional partners without direct authority, and to hold a standard while preserving the relationship.
  • Calm, decisive, and solutions-oriented under pressure, with sound crisis-management instincts on site.
  • Comfort operating as a service partner to multiple leaders while maintaining one consistent standard.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and receptiveness to feedback.

Travel

  • Regional travel required, averaging 30-40% monthly with meaningful seasonal variation. Travel concentrates in Q2 through Q4 during conference and client event season and is lighter in Q1. Occasional evenings and weekends required.
