We bring the energy!
Through purpose and people – not just through the infrastructure we operate, but through the way we show up for each other, our customers and our communities. The future of energy is in our hands. Let’s shape it together
Are you ready to make your impact?
Take the lead on commercial reporting, analytics, financial performance and governance across AusNet’s Operations and Maintenance contracts. You’ll turn complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights, giving the business a strong view of how our contracts and delivery partners are performing.
Leading a small team, you’ll bring together data, commercial insight and strong relationships to uncover trends, risks and opportunities. You’ll work closely with operational leaders and delivery partners, helping turn insights into better decisions and stronger commercial and operational outcomes.
Based in Southbank with a 3/2 hybrid working arrangement, this role reports directly to the Head of Maintenance and offers a great balance of in-person collaboration and flexibility.
What you’ll be doing in this role:
- Lead contract governance requirements for the Distribution Operations & Maintenance Services Agreement (OMSA) and ancillary contracts, including maintaining governance calendars and tracking contract notifications, deliverables and meeting requirements.
- Shape reporting and analytics that support effective management of the OMSA and ancillary contracts, including measurement and reporting of contractual KPIs across safety, operational, quality, financial and service performance.
- Lead the tracking and reporting of contract financial performance, including actual versus billed costs, invoice reconciliation and other agreed financial analysis.
- Build, maintain and continuously improve contract reporting dashboards, ensuring information is timely, accurate and fit for purpose.
- Undertake and oversee analysis that identifies trends, risks and improvement opportunities in delivery partner and contract performance.
- Lead, develop and support a team of Contract Financial, Reporting and Governance Specialists and Officers to deliver contract reporting, governance and analysis requirements.
- Partner with the Manager, Commercial Performance and operational stakeholders to translate reporting insights into contract and delivery performance improvements.
You don't need to check every box; we’re interested in the skills and experience you can bring, including a good combination of:
- Experience in reporting, financial analysis, performance analytics or contract-governance activities within a complex environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving capability, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, decision ready insights
- Experience developing meaningful reporting, dashboards and performance measures
- Strong understanding of financial and commercial performance, which could include cost analysis, budgeting, reconciliation or contract performance
- Strong systems and data capability, including experience working with reporting and visualisation tools, financial systems and large or complex data sets.
- Confidence working with stakeholders to understand issues, challenge thinking and influence better outcomes
- Experience leading or developing others, with a focus on creating clarity, building capability and supporting people to do their best
- Understanding of contract governance, compliance and assurance requirements, including reporting obligations, delegated authority, governance controls and data quality standards.
