Role Summary We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead high-performing product engineering teams and drive the end-to-end delivery of scalable, enterprise-grade platforms. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, focusing on building robust systems, fostering engineering excellence, and enabling predictable, high-quality releases. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities) Own one or more product modules end-to-end across design, development, testing, release, and production support Design and build API-first, extensible architectures supporting customization without code forks Drive high engineering standards across scalability, performance, security, observability, and reliability Lead agile delivery with predictable execution, strong planning, and outcome-focused tracking Implement automation-first practices across CI/CD, testing, deployment, and monitoring Partner with Product to translate business requirements into clear, testable technical designs Lead and mentor a team of 10–15 engineers, fostering ownership, continuous learning, and engineering excellence. What You Bring (Skills & Qualifications) Must-Haves 10+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in product-based companies Strong hands-on expertise in Java ecosystem (Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST, messaging) Experience building or scaling low-code / no-code platforms or highly configurable enterprise systems Solid understanding of data modeling with RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB preferred) Proven experience with test-driven development, automation-first mindset, and DevOps practices Experience managing engineering teams and driving performance, quality, and delivery Hands-on exposure to AI/ML or LLMs in engineering workflows (e.g., code generation, automation, search) Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle production issues and drive root cause analysis Nice-to-Haves Experience integrating LLMs via APIs/SDKs into backend systems or tools Understanding of prompt engineering, model evaluation, and AI system limitations Exposure to enterprise-grade systems with strict SLAs and customer commitments Familiarity with feature flags, safe rollouts, and observability tools Passion for continuous improvement, system simplification, and engineering culture building What We Offer ✔ Competitive compensation ✔ Health benefits ✔ Remote/flexible work options ✔ Professional development support 📍 Location Specify office/remote policy Equal Opportunity Statement At Volante Technologies, we believe diversity drives innovation and inclusion fuels success.
