The group you’ll be a part of

You’ll join a high-performing Finance team supporting Lam Research’s Etch Product Group (EPG), a key business and technology enabling advanced semiconductor manufacturing. In this role, you will partner closely with the business and across the finance team to deliver financial analysis and insight that influences and drives profitability improvement. This is an opportunity to influence margin expansion, improve return on investment, and impact business results by applying your passion and strength in financial analysis, together with your critical thinking skills, business acumen, and ability to crisply communicate actionable insights.

The impact you’ll make

We are seeking a Manager / Sr. Manager to accelerate the execution and scaling of AI and automation across Finance. This role is responsible for delivering measurable business outcomes within defined Finance processes by redesigning workflows and deploying AI-enabled solutions to increase process efficiency and enable faster and more meaningful financial insights. This is an opportunity to use your automation/AI capabilities to influence the future of the organization.

The role combines Finance process and technical knowledge with strong AI, automation and data fluency. You will be a part of the finance team supporting Lam Research’s Global Product Group (GPG), which delivers critical products and technologies that enable advanced semiconductor manufacturing. In this role, you will partner closely with stakeholders across the finance team and will drive the implementation of generative AI and agentic AI solutions, using a human-in-the-loop approach to ensure control and auditability. Working collaboratively, you will identify opportunities, prioritize, and execute production-ready solutions that improve process efficiency, enhance decision-making and strengthen controls.

This is a hands-on execution role, acting as a single-threaded owner for selected Finance transformation areas. The role partners closely with GPG Finance leadership, FP&A, IT, and Data teams, bridging business needs and technical implementation.

What you’ll do

Evaluate and Prioritize Opportunities

  • Partner within the Finance team to evaluate and prioritize automation/AI-implementation opportunities based on impact, repeatability, feasibility, scalability, and other considerations
  • Maintain a steady pipeline aligned with Finance priorities

Own Delivery of Prioritized Finance AI Use Cases, Leading Execution from Concept to Production

  • Serve as central GPG Finance owner for executing prioritized transformation areas (e.g., P&L variance analyses, process automation, reporting, close, controls, transaction workflows)
  • Execute proof-of-value pilots using real data and targeted scope
  • Take initiatives from concept to pilot to full production deployment, delivering measurable outcomes
  • Apply a human-in-the-loop approach: AI performs first-pass analysis and automation, with Finance providing oversight, validation, and exception handling
  • Assess results and determine whether to scale solutions or discontinue low-impact initiatives
  • Standardize and scale successful solutions across Finance

What you'll do, cont'd

Translate Business Needs into Solutions, Redesigning End-to-End Finance Processes

  • Act as a bridge between Finance, IT, and Data teams, converting prioritized opportunities into actionable solutions, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to design and implement
  • Analyze existing workflows and deliver end-to-end improvement by eliminating manual effort and streamlining data flow by leveraging AI, automation, and digital tools

Ensure Controls, Compliance, and Audit Readiness

  • Embed SOX, audit, and data governance requirements into AI-enabled workflows
  • Partner with Controllers and Internal Audit to ensure compliance and auditability
  • Maintain clear documentation and process transparency

Drive Adoption and Ensure Sustained Impact

  • Develop training materials, playbooks, and best practices
  • Support adoption of AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot, agents, and automation workflows)
  • Monitor usage and effectiveness to ensure sustained impact
