Overview

Profitero’s Advisory Consulting team supports global eCommerce business leaders in developing custom strategic solutions that help them accelerate digital channel growth. We blend quantitative and qualitative analysis to deliver bespoke client work anchored in our deep understanding of eCommerce team org design, maturity models, Jobs to be Done, capabilities benchmarking, channel strategy development, retailer playbooks, learning & development, and much more.

As a Manager in on this team, you will play a critical thinker/doer role in the development, support, and oversight of strategic consulting projects for some of the largest brands in the world. You will apply and develop your analytical, interpersonal, creative thinking, business management and leadership skills from day one. Your scope will be global and your work will directly impact revenue and will be of critical importance to Profitero's strategic initiatives. This role will enable you to work directly with clients to help them solve some of their most pressing business challenges.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid role based out of our Boston office and will require onsite engagement an average of 3-4 days/week. All candidates should be commutable to the Boston market and willing to work a hybrid schedule. Out-of-market candidates willing to relocate to Boston will also be considered but candidates currently local to the market will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

  • Guide top global retail and CPG clients and brands on their eCommerce strategy, sales, and capabilities. This includes strategy, organizational design, assortment planning, marketing, enhancing ways of working, training and educating on eCommerce, and more.
  • Oversee and manage the planning and execution of eCommerce strategy projects, including developing, presenting, and implementing clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Work closely with clients, including leading presentations and workshops to train or educate teams.
  • Perform first party research via interviews with necessary groups, such as employees, management, and market participants to aid in development of client deliverables.
  • Source and synthesize data from disparate sources to develop actionable client insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee the work of analysts to ensure it meets the overall needs of projects.
  • Coordinate with internal sales, marketing, customer success, and insights teams to ensure best practices are developed and shared.
  • Drive innovative thinking and ensure that Profitero is on the cutting edge of eCommerce through regular industry research.
  • Support New Business Development and project proposals to current & new clients in pursuit of achieving department and organizational revenue targets.
  • Be a critical member of a growing team to help shape our strategic focus.
  • Partner directly with Profitero’s consulting leads and teammates to scope and execute new projects.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant omnichannel or eCommerce experience at CPG brands, retailers, agencies, or consulting firms, preferably within or alongside a SaaS, product, or technical environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Technology, Business, or a related field; experience may be substituted.
  • Extensive experience and strong understanding of the ecommerce and digital marketing landscape, both inclusive and exclusive to the immediate capabilities of the Profitero product and specific scope of the role as well as a desire to continue growing that expertise.
  • Passion for solving some of the consumer products industry’s most complex and interesting challenges.
  • High degree of comfort with technology, data, and analytics and the ability to succinctly and clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prior experience supporting new business proposals and client development.
  • Strong hands-on quantitative analysis skills with an advanced ability to use relevant software packages including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Possess a high "do/say" ratio.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to leverage analytics and campaign performance metrics to derive insights and develop data-driven recommendations to help clients make informed decisions.
  • Experience working within cross-functional delivery teams and motivating people with different agendas to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to identify, synthesize, respond to, and resolve issues and conflicts as they arise.
  • Highly collaborative but independently capable.
  • Process-oriented with outstanding organizational skills and an extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to organize workstreams, estimate effort, and deliver on timelines.
  • A high degree of business savvy with a constant eye towards growth.
  • Flexible and adaptable with an ability to manage and drive success across multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
  • A competitive goal-driven self-starter with the constant drive to exceed expectations.
  • Sound decision-making ability rooted in agency, client, and industry knowledge.
  • Comfort operating with a high level of ownership, autonomy, and accountability.
  • An active listener with clear and persuasive verbal and written communication and presentation skills, a high degree of emotional intelligence, and an ability to tell a smart, concise story using data.
  • Experience communicating with and presenting to client representatives at all levels on a regular basis.
  • A natural sense of urgency with an ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately within tight deadlines and constantly-evolving project parameters, scope, and goals.

Compensation Range: USD $81,225.00 - USD $124,432.00/NA. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
