Is this job info correct?

BUILT ON FLAVOR. FUELED BY PEOPLE. What’s it like to work at Kinder’s? Well, there’s a lot of snacking and geeking out over what we all cooked over the weekend. Beyond that, there’s also plenty of hard work. Because we don’t just like flavor, we’re obsessed with it. With over 100 products sold nationwide, we’re now a top-five brand in multiple flavor categories at Costco, Walmart, Whole Foods, and more. We’re not your typical CPG company. Privately held and founder-led, we like to think of ourselves as a pirate ship in a sea of cruise ships . Our crew is adventurous and fearless. We chart our own course and chase big ideas to make food unforgettable. As we expand globally and approach $1 billion in revenue, we need more smart-and-scrappy, flavor-obsessed people to come aboard. If you’re looking for a place where you can see the real impact of your work... this is it! Every day, you’ll be part of a journey to add flavor to millions of meals and lives. About This Role: At Kinder's, we're passionate about flavor, quality, and creating exceptional food experiences. As our company continues to grow, so does the scale and complexity of our supply chain across co-manufacturing, logistics, and an expanding SKU portfolio. The Manager, Supply Chain Finance - New Product Pipeline will serve as the finance business partner to Innovation and lead financial support for Kinder's preliminary financial assessment process. This role will bring early visibility to product economics and help cross-functional teams make informed choices as concepts move from idea through commercialization. Partnering with Product Development, R&D, Brand, Procurement, Co-Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, this manager will coordinate cost targets, proxy development, scenario modeling, and early-stage P&L guidance for new products, reformulations, and pack changes. The role will establish decision-ready economics even when specifications, volumes, or supplier inputs are incomplete. This position will strengthen financial discipline across the innovation pipeline by creating clear stage-gate expectations, improving cost transparency, and ensuring launch assumptions and risks are understood, approved, and handed off into forecasts and standard costs. Key Responsibilities Include: Innovation Finance & Preliminary Financial Assessment Own the financial workstream for the preliminary financial assessment process, establishing required inputs, timelines, cost targets, review standards, and approval-ready outputs. Develop early-stage product P&Ls, cost proxies, margin ranges, and scenario models using the best available assumptions for formula, packaging, tolling, freight, warehousing, volume, price, and trade. Translate concept changes into clear implications for net sales, COGS, gross margin, EBITDA, working capital, and cash flow. Identify material assumptions, sensitivities, risks, and information gaps and clearly communicate the confidence level of financial estimates. Provide financial guidance at innovation stage gates and make recommendations on cost targets, design choices, launch readiness, and economic viability. Maintain a portfolio view of pipeline economics, highlighting value creation, margin risk, resource trade-offs, and changes from prior approvals. Cross-Functional Costing & Commercialization Coordinate with Product Development, R&D, Brand, Procurement, Co-Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain Finance to develop and validate product cost assumptions. Partner with technical teams on formula, specification, pack, and process alternatives that can improve margin while protecting product quality and consumer experience. Evaluate supplier quotes, co-manufacturing tolls, minimum order quantities, yields, scrap, line trials, capital requirements, and scale assumptions. Support reformulations, packaging changes, productivity initiatives, and SKU lifecycle decisions with disciplined financial analysis. Ensure approved launch economics, risks, timing, and commitments are clearly documented and transferred into forecasts, standard costs, and post-launch tracking. Conduct post-launch reviews to compare actual performance with approved assumptions and convert learnings into stronger future estimates. Process Governance & Decision Support Establish scalable templates, governance, and documentation standards for innovation costing and financial assessment. Build trusted relationships across Innovation, Finance, and Supply Chain and facilitate constructive decisions when priorities or assumptions conflict. Create clear executive summaries that distill complex product economics into the few variables and trade-offs that matter most. Track cost targets, margin commitments, risks, and actions across the pipeline and escalate material deviations promptly. Improve financial acumen across innovation teams by providing practical tools, training, and ongoing guidance. Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. 6+ years of progressive finance experience, including experience in supply chain finance, innovation finance, product costing, operations finance, or FP&A. Strong command of product P&Ls, COGS, gross margin, standard costing, scenario analysis, and investment decision support. Experience supporting new product development, commercialization, reformulations, packaging changes, or stage-gate processes strongly preferred. Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, food, manufacturing, retail, or another SKU-intensive business strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to build credible financial estimates from incomplete information and communicate assumptions and confidence levels clearly. Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple cross-functional workstreams, deadlines, and decision points. Advanced Excel / Google Sheets and financial modeling skills; experience with BI tools is a plus. Executive-ready communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority. Experience with ERP, product lifecycle management, and financial planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Anaplan, or comparable platforms is a plus. Comfort operating in a high-growth environment where product specifications, timelines, and processes continue to evolve. Location and Travel: The position will be based onsite in Walnut Creek, CA. We strongly believe in the power of culture and community and have a hybrid work structure with 4 days in the office on a weekly basis to encourage collaboration and personal connections that will allow us to better serve our customers and consumer and to have more fun. Fridays are flex days with employees having the opportunity to choose to be either in the office or to work from home based on what makes most sense for them. Pay Transparency: The expected starting salary range for this role is $1 3 5 ,000- $1 5 5 ,000 per year. The salary range posted for this role reflects the good-faith base pay range Kinder’s reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting and may vary based on the location of the role. Individual compensation within the posted range will be determined based on factors such as relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs. SEASONED FOR SUCCESS: No two days here are the same. We try to be good team members and good communicators, but we don’t live by hierarchy and structure – everyone is a difference maker here. We make a lot of decisions in the face of incomplete information – our team embraces ambiguity and tries to make good decisions fast rather than great decisions slow. We believe our job is to take smart risk, not to eliminate risk. We believe in growing our skills and becoming a better company with more managerial expertise, but we are an entrepreneurial company at heart. We aren’t trying to be average – we want to do exceptional things, and we are willing to work hard to achieve them. BENEFITS THAT BRING MORE TO THE TABLE: We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, 401k, bonus / incentive eligibility, equity grants, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits, including parental leave. Kinder’s benefits vary based on eligibility and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process. OUR RECIPE FOR BALANCE: We believe great culture starts with people. We’re a people-first company built on connection, collaboration, and balance. Most of our work happens in the office to spark creativity and community, but we also offer flexibility so team members have the autonomy to work outside the office when needed to support their work-life balance and personal commitments. WHERE EVERY INGREDIENT MATTERS: Kinder's is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, citizenship, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, results of genetic testing, veteran status, as well as any other legally-protected characteristic. If you have a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act or similar law, and you need any accommodation during the application process or to perform these job requirements, please reach out to us at careers@kinders.com
