Serve as a player-coach responsible for leading the organization's talent acquisition function while actively managing key recruiting initiatives and strategic searches. Develop and execute a forward-looking talent acquisition strategy that enables the organization to attract, engage, and hire top talent in a rapidly evolving workforce landscape. Lead recruiting operations, develop team capabilities, drive recruiting innovation, and implement enablement strategies that improve recruiter effectiveness, hiring manager engagement, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines strong recruiting leadership with expertise in talent acquisition enablement, process optimization, workforce insights, recruiting technology, and change leadership. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and help position Talent Acquisition as a critical driver of organizational growth and long-term workforce success.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Acquisition Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with organizational goals and workforce needs.
- Partner with business leaders and Human Resources to anticipate future talent requirements and develop proactive hiring strategies.
- Translate workforce trends, labor market intelligence, and business priorities into actionable recruiting plans.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen talent pipelines for critical and emerging roles.
Recruiting Enablement & Innovation
- Lead recruiting enablement efforts by optimizing processes, tools, resources, and recruiter capabilities.
- Evaluate and implement modern recruiting technologies, automation solutions, sourcing tools, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Develop recruiting playbooks, sourcing methodologies, interviewing frameworks, and hiring manager resources.
- Drive adoption and utilization of recruiting technology and best practices across the organization.
- Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of the recruiting function through innovation and process improvement.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Talent Acquisition team members.
- Establish performance expectations and support individual professional growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, partnership, customer service, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide ongoing coaching related to sourcing strategies, stakeholder management, candidate engagement, and consultative recruiting.
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Personally manage a portfolio of critical, complex, leadership, or hard-to-fill positions.
- Execute full-cycle recruitment activities including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer development, and closing.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders throughout the recruitment process.
Hiring Manager Partnership
- Develop strong relationships with leaders across the organization.
- Consult with hiring managers on market conditions, recruiting strategies, talent availability, and selection practices.
- Improve hiring manager capability through training, tools, and best-practice guidance.
- Promote consistent and effective interviewing and candidate evaluation practices.
Talent Analytics & Workforce Insights
- Establish and monitor recruiting metrics that measure effectiveness and business impact.
- Utilize data to identify trends, improve decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide reporting and insights related to talent acquisition performance, market conditions, and workforce needs.
Candidate Experience & Employer Brand
- Champion a candidate-centric recruiting experience.
- Support initiatives that strengthen the organization's employer brand and talent value proposition.
- Ensure high-quality candidate communications and engagement throughout the hiring process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of of progressive talent acquisition experience.
- 3+ years of leadership experience within recruiting or talent acquisition.
- Demonstrated success leading full-cycle recruiting efforts across a variety of functional areas and levels.
- Experience developing recruiting strategies and implementing process improvements.
- Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems, sourcing technologies, recruitment marketing platforms, and recruiting analytics.
- Strong business acumen, communication skills, and consultative leadership capabilities.
Preferred
- Insurance or financial services industry experience.
- Experience leading recruiting transformation, enablement, or technology initiatives.
- Experience implementing AI-enabled recruiting tools, automation solutions, talent CRM platforms, or candidate engagement technologies.
- Professional HR certification (SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent).
