Manager, Technical Delivery – Engineering | AccessHope
At AccessHope, we’re Fighting cancer with everything we know™ by putting the ever-growing body of cancer knowledge to work for the greater good. Through a revolutionary employer health benefit offering, we remotely connect employees with cancer support services from National Cancer Institute (NCI)–Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers. Instead of requiring those who have been diagnosed with cancer to come to the centers for renowned cancer expertise, AccessHope brings their support to the patient and their local oncologist—wherever they’re located—to improve care, outcomes, and value.
Hopeful for those we support, rebellious in our approach, and collaborative by breaking down barriers, AccessHope is seeking a Manager, Technical Delivery - Engineering to help us uniquely deploy the latest cancer knowledge to the places it’s needed most. As an ideal candidate, you’ll own the execution of complex, multi-team technical and AI initiatives. This is a delivery-focused role, not a product-strategy or roadmap-ownership position where you'll partner closely with Engineering Managers, AI/data teams, product, and external technology partners to translate priorities into executable plans, track dependencies and risks, and drive initiatives from concept through production readiness. This role may oversee a team as our initiatives scale.
Key responsibilities
  • Technical Delivery Management
    • Own end-to-end delivery for cross-team engineering and AI initiatives (migrations, platform rollouts, infra projects, major system changes)
    • Maintain an integrated view of active initiatives: milestones, dependencies, owners, risks, and decisions
    • Drive project plans and follow-ups across engineering, AI, product, operations, security, and other stakeholders
    • Identify delivery risks and blockers early, including resourcing gaps, sequencing conflicts, technical debt tradeoffs, and escalate issues requiring leadership decisions
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination
    • Serve as the coordination point for external AI and technology partners
    • Track vendor deliverables, timelines, technical dependencies, and open questions
    • Coordinate internal stakeholders required for vendor integrations, testing, security reviews, and implementation
    • Evaluate whether vendor deliverables meet agreed requirements and acceptance criteria
  • AI & Technical Product Execution
    • Oversee delivery for AI application development efforts, coordinating across ML, backend, and platform teams
    • Partner with technical teams to understand architecture, data requirements, integrations, model evaluation, and deployment considerations
    • Coordinate testing and evaluation activities, including tracking accuracy, quality, latency, and reliability
    • Maintain documentation of technical capabilities, limitations, assumptions, and validation results
    • Align vendor practices with AccessHope internal policies and best practices
  • Quality Assurance Oversight for AI Products & Initiatives
    • Own QA strategy and execution across AI products and initiatives, ensuring rigorous testing prior to production release
    • Define and track QA acceptance criteria for model outputs, including accuracy, reliability, bias, and edge-case handling
    • Coordinate QA activities across internal teams and external vendors, ensuring test plans, defect tracking, and sign-off processes are followed consistently
    • Partner with AI/ML and engineering teams to design test cases that validate functionality, performance, and safety of AI features before launch
    • Maintain a QA/testing log and ensure issues are triaged, remediated, and re-validated prior to go-live
    • Ensure AI products meet internal quality and compliance standards before being promoted to production environments
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Run delivery-focused rituals (sprint planning, retros, launch readiness reviews, go/no-go checkpoints) with technical fluency
    • Maintain decision logs, risk registers, project dashboards, and meeting outputs
    • Translate technical progress into clear, business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders
    • Prepare concise delivery updates for engineering leadership
  • Leadership
