Opportunity Overview
This is an internal leadership role at a pivotal growth stage, shaping how we scale by owning our P&L, day-to-day service delivery, and client relations while directly influencing core KPIs. Reporting to the founders, you will define and execute our strategic vision, building the foundations for a 10X leap while ensuring sustainable growth, operational excellence, and financial performance.
Role Description
You will own the P&L end to end, covering margins, budget control, forecasting, pricing, hiring costs, and headcount planning alongside our finance function. You will lead the heads of department across recruitment, delivery, operations, and client management as one system rather than silos. You will restructure how we operate, resolve sales-versus-delivery capacity tension, enforce client quality standards, and run the governance and KPI system. You will report performance to the founders through periodic strategic reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Direction - Develop and implement our strategic direction, translating long-term priorities into actionable operating plans.
- Profitable Growth - Drive sustainable, profitable growth while maintaining operational efficiency and financial discipline across the business.
- Governance and Risk - Ensure robust operational, financial, and governance frameworks support performance and risk management.
- Leadership Development - Lead, coach, and develop the executive team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Oversight - Monitor performance against plans, budgets, and KPIs, taking corrective action when required.
- Operational Excellence - Champion initiatives improving productivity, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction across all functions.
- Stakeholder Representation - Represent the company with key clients, industry partners, and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Leadership Experience - 6+ years of progressive leadership experience driving business growth and organisational performance.
- Executive Roles - At least 4 years in senior executive, general management, or country leadership positions.
- Startup and Scaleup Background - Experience within startups or scaleups, managing complex and fast-changing business environments.
- Education - University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Economics; MBA highly desirable.
- Commercial and Financial Acumen - Strong financial management, operational excellence, and organisational transformation capability with commercial insight.
- Governance and Stakeholder Skills - Solid corporate governance knowledge with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Scale-Up Experience - Track record scaling a services or startup business toward a 10X goal.
- Distributed Team Leadership - Experience managing distributed teams across UK/Egypt or similar time zones.
