Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Mandarin Interpreter. The Mandarin Interpreter will provide accurate, confidential, and timely interpretation between Mandarin and English during virtual calls, including medical, legal, and business-related interactions. Day-to-day tasks include listening to and understanding spoken language, conveying meaning clearly and neutrally, and adapting communication style to different contexts and audiences. The interpreter will follow established protocols, adhere to ethical standards, and maintain detailed notes or documentation when required. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams, participating in ongoing training, and using call center and collaboration tools to ensure high-quality customer service.
Qualifications

• Strong Mandarin and English language skills, including excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in interpretation or translation, preferably in medical, legal, or business settings.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to remain neutral, clear, and professional under pressure.
• Comfort with remote work technologies, such as virtual call center platforms, VoIP tools, and basic IT troubleshooting.
• High attention to detail, strong memory retention, and the ability to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and ethical standards in interpretation.
• Ability to work independently, follow structured processes, and adapt to changing schedules or client needs.
• Prior experience in a call center or customer support environment and familiarity with international clients is an advantage.
• Relevant education or training in linguistics, translation/interpretation, or a related field is beneficial.
