Remote Medical Interpreter – Mandarin

Location: Remote / Work from Home

Employment Type: Full-Time

Working Days: Monday–Friday

Working Hours: 9 hours per day, including a 1-hour break, based on the assigned time zone

About the Role

We are looking for proficient Mandarin interpreters to join our team and facilitate effective communication between English-speaking healthcare professionals and patients who speak another language.

As a Medical Interpreter, you will help ensure accurate communication during medical consultations and other healthcare-related interactions while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation between English and Mandarin.

• Facilitate communication between healthcare professionals and patients through phone and/or video calls.

• Interpret medical terminology and conversations accurately, without adding, omitting, or changing information.

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy standards.

• Remain neutral, professional, and impartial throughout every interaction.

• Follow established interpretation protocols and client procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English and Mandarin, with strong speaking and listening skills.

• Excellent communication and active listening skills.

• Ability to understand and interpret medical terminology.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain composed in sensitive situations.

• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote working environment.

• Ability to meet the technical requirements for remote interpretation.
