Requirements:
The project involves testing a specific module for the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026 website that displays sports results. This content is housed within an iframe designed for integration into the customer's main website. Because the core development is already completed, the immediate goal is to improve web accessibility, specifically making the site accessible for users with visual impairments.
The QA Engineer will contribute by ensuring the website complies with WCAG standards (Levels A and AA). Since general functionality testing is not required, the role focuses strictly on identifying accessibility defects using a combination of automated browser tools and manual testing methods, such as keyboard navigation and screen readers. The specialist will document these defects and later perform part-time re-testing to verify the applied fixes.
- Proven experience in Web Accessibility testing.
- Deep understanding of WCAG standards, specifically for Levels A and AA compliance.
- Hands-on experience with manual accessibility testing (keyboard navigation and screen readers).
- Proficiency in using automated browser tools for accessibility evaluation (e.g., Axe, WAVE).
- Ability to independently document clear, actionable defect reports for the development team.
- Good communication skills (English) to report directly to the client-side manager.
- Experience testing web content nested within an iframe.
- Familiarity with multiple screen reader applications (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) across different operating systems.
- Previous experience testing sports-related platforms, tables, or dashboards.
- Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing of the sports results website against client-provided WCAG A and AA requirements.
- Execute both automated browser testing and manual testing techniques (keyboard-only navigation, screen readers).
- Identify, document, and report accessibility defects, focusing on making the website accessible for users with visual impairments.
- Perform subsequent part-time re-testing to verify that all reported accessibility defects have been successfully fixed.
