QA Engineer

Good software doesn't ship broken, but catching what's broken before it ships takes more than running a checklist. This role owns the test execution layer across web, email, and digital deliverables, and brings the discipline to find what others miss.

The Role

You cover functional QA across digital deliverables on one or more client engagements, websites, emails, banners, and application components. You run the test plan, document what you find, work with developers to reproduce and resolve defects, and make sure what ships has been properly verified.

What You're Responsible For

• Execute test plans and test cases across web-based deliverables: websites, emails, banners, IVAs, CRM, and digital applications
• Perform functional, regression, and cross-browser/device testing on each delivery
• Identify, document, and track defects in Jira or equivalent, clear reproduction steps, impact assessment, and expected vs. actual behavior
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes before re-release
• Test backend services and APIs using Postman or equivalent tooling
• Report testing results clearly to delivery and client teams
• Contribute to process improvement: flag recurring defect patterns and propose coverage or tooling improvements

Qualifications

• Required
  • 1–2+ years of QA experience in a software development or digital agency environment
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing of web applications, email, and digital deliverables
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript sufficient to understand and reproduce front-end defects
  • Defect management: Jira or equivalent, clear, reproducible bug reports as standard practice
  • Business-level English, defect reports and stakeholder communication are in English
• Technical Skills
  • Manual testing: test case creation, execution, and regression coverage, not just ad-hoc exploration
  • API testing: Postman or equivalent for backend service validation
  • Cross-browser and cross-device testing methodology
  • Analytical thinking: can identify root cause, not just symptom
• Strong Advantage
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools or scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, NodeJS)
  • SQL and general database knowledge for data validation
  • QA certifications: ISTQB, CMSQ, CSQA, or equivalent
  • Experience testing email marketing, banner ads, or CRM integrations
