About the Role
i4DM is seeking an experienced QA Engineer, Manual Software Tester with hands-on experience to join our fast-growing team delivering solutions to the VA team. As a Manual Software Tester, you will help deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions across the full software lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate mission needs into measurable outcomes, manage technical and delivery risks, and support high-quality releases.
Responsibilities
- Conduct manual testing
- Design, implement and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met
- Develop, maintain and upgrade test scripts for application products.
- Design, document and execute test plans and test cases
- Validate requirements and acceptance criteria across supported applications, interfaces, data, roles, and workflows.
- Review test results and evaluate for conformance to design
- Record, triage, retest, and close defects with clear evidence, severity, impact, and reproducible steps.
- Serve as subject matter specialist providing testing know-how to make our software solutions defect free when delivered
- Ensure testing documentation is updated based on the new user requirements
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to improve quality throughout the SDLC.
- Report test progress, risks, coverage, and release readiness using objective evidence.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- At least four (4) years of software testing experience
- At least two (2) years of experience working in an Agile team
- Experience with defect tracking, test evidence, requirements traceability, and Agile delivery.
- Experience creating test cases and executing functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while collaborating in a distributed team.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience with healthcare, pharmacy, medication-management, mental health, or other clinical application workflows is preferred
- Ability to acquire a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs, federal health IT, or other regulated healthcare programs.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Microsoft 365, and collaborative Agile delivery tools.
- Experience with VistA patch development and release processes, InterSystems IRIS, MUMPS, or VA Pharmacy applications.
