Marketing Accountant

Our client is a global multi-billion-dollar Consumer Packaged Goods company, based in White Plains, NY. They are seeking a contract Marketing Accountant. This assignment is expected to last 8 months. This is remote role but must be located in EST zone.

Job Description:

The marketing accountant position supports the company’s US business ensuring a timely and accurate accounting close. The position also is required to provide general support to the various Marketing and Financial Planning teams. The employee would need to be able to perform the transactions and processes for the month end close including but not limited to preparing various reporting schedules with respective analyses, balance sheet account reconciliations and recording journal entries.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive accrual process for marketing close and for certain components of net sales
• Support forecasting for marketing spend, phasing and cash flow impacts
• Manage project master data (internal orders,) forecasts, actuals, and other transaction within the ERP (SAP)
• Manage the governance and industry standards for coupon and digital barcodes, including but not limited to:
• Creation
• Training
• Risk assessment
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested

Professional Experiences and Functional Competencies:

• Education 4 Years Sup Studies – BBA in Accounting
• Work Experience 1 to 3 Years
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellence in Excel required
• Knowledge of SAP is strongly preferred
