About the Role
At HBF, we're focused on creating stronger and more valuable relationships with our members. As the Marketing Analyst (Retention), you'll help shape the retention and lifecycle marketing strategies that keep members engaged, loyal and connected to HBF.

Sitting within the Planning, Performance & Insights team, you'll combine marketing performance data, member behaviour insights and commercial outcomes to identify opportunities to improve retention, customer lifetime value and marketing effectiveness. You'll work closely with Lifecycle Marketing and Member Engagement to understand what drives churn, evaluate the performance of retention initiatives and provide evidence-based recommendations that improve both member outcomes and business performance.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytics, customer understanding and marketing strategy to influence decisions and deliver measurable impact.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyse member behaviour, retention performance and churn trends to identify opportunities for lifecycle marketing improvements.
  • Measure and optimise the effectiveness of onboarding, retention and win-back campaigns.
  • Partner with Lifecycle Marketing teams to develop insight-led retention strategies, offers and member engagement initiatives.
  • Evaluate customer lifetime value, campaign ROI and marketing performance to support investment decisions.
  • Lead performance reviews and translate insights into actionable recommendations and future marketing plans.
  • Develop reporting, dashboards and forecasts that provide visibility of retention performance and commercial outcomes.
  • Support test-and-learn initiatives that improve member engagement, loyalty and retention.

About You
You're a marketing analyst who enjoys understanding customer behaviour and using data to improve marketing outcomes. You can connect customer, campaign and commercial performance data to tell a clear story, uncover opportunities and influence decision-making.

You understand that effective retention isn't just about reducing churn. It's about creating better member experiences, stronger engagement and greater lifetime value through targeted and data-driven marketing activity.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing analytics, customer retention, CRM or lifecycle marketing, ideally within a membership-based or customer-centric environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting customer behaviour and retention performance data.
  • Hands-on experience using business intelligence solutions such as Salesforce, Looker or Tableau.
  • The ability to analyse campaign performance, customer lifetime value and ROI, translating findings into practical business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling way.
  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related discipline.
