Show job description

TerryWhite Chemmart has just launched a new ecommerce operation, and online is a key growth priority for the business. This maternity leave contract puts you at the centre of the digital marketing program, running campaigns across web, app, CRM and paid media and helping grow online sales alongside the Digital Commerce Lead. You'll start in early December with a few weeks of handover.

Where you'll make the difference

  • Keep TWC's digital campaigns well planned and performing across web, app, CRM, email and paid media
  • Lift online traffic, conversion, and customer acquisition and retention as ecommerce scales
  • Help deliver a sharp ecommerce trading rhythm, with promotions and merchandising that move the numbers
  • Keep campaigns, ecommerce and agency activity joined up
  • Leave your two specialists more capable and confident than you found them

What you'll do

  • Lead digital marketing across paid media, SEO, CRM, email and app
  • Run TWC's broader (non ecommerce) digital campaigns
  • Work with the Digital Commerce Lead to deliver the ecommerce trading calendar, promotions and digital merchandising
  • Drive online traffic, conversion and customer growth
  • Work through internal teams, developers and external agencies to get activity live
  • Turn GA4 and performance data into marketing and trading recommendations
  • Lead and develop a Digital Marketing Specialist and an eCommerce Specialist
  • Guide your team on ecommerce for a second brand on Shopify

What you need

  • You've run digital marketing across paid media, SEO, CRM and email, and can show the results
  • You've worked in ecommerce and understand what moves online sales: trading, promotions, merchandising and conversion
  • You're confident in analytics (GA4) and back your calls with data
  • You can lead and develop a small team
  • You know how to get things done through others in a bigger business, by briefing, aligning and influencing, rather than owning every lever yourself
  • You're comfortable with both strategy and execution, and happy to roll up your sleeves

Nice to have (bonus, not required)

  • Shopify experience
  • App marketing experience
  • Pharmacy, health or omnichannel retail background

Research shows strong candidates often hold back unless they tick every box. Please don't. If you meet most of the must-haves, we'd love to hear from you.

Who you'll work with

You'll report to the Digital Commerce Lead, partner with them closely on ecommerce direction, and lead a small, capable digital team who'll welcome someone with energy and presence. Day to day you'll also work with brand, designers, developers and external agencies. A heads up: this is a big retail business, so getting things live takes planning and stakeholder buy-in. If you like driving outcomes through others, you'll be right at home.

Why join us

  • Join at a pivotal point: a new custom-built ecommerce operation, a major development project underway and multi-brand capability on the way
  • Online is a key growth priority across a network of 600+ stores, so the role gets real focus from the business
  • The digital function is expected to evolve as ecommerce grows. We can't promise what's next, but strong performers will be well placed
  • 12 month maternity leave contract will all leave entitlements
  • Hybrid working, with 2 days a week in Milton
