We are looking for a proactive, curious Marketing & Communications Intern to help amplify our voice across the global biotech, clinical, and investment ecosystems. In this role, you will work closely with our leadership team to translate cutting-edge genomics and data science into clear, compelling narratives across digital channels.
If you are eager to learn how deep-tech and life sciences marketing works in a fast-scaling startup, this position is designed for you.
What You’ll Do
Science Storytelling & Content: Translate research breakthroughs, project milestones (e.g., European consortia, clinical studies), and company news into engaging posts, articles, and newsletter updates.
Social Media Management: Own the day-to-day scheduling and community engagement across our channels, with a primary focus on LinkedIn and scientific networks.
Brand & Visual Assets: Design visual assets, presentation decks, infographics, and promotional materials using tools like Canva, Figma, or Adobe Suite.
Events & PR Support: Assist in preparing Flomics’ presence at international biotech conferences, investor summits, and industry congresses.
Website & Analytics: Support website updates, track campaign performance metrics, and compile monthly engagement reports to optimize our outreach.
What We’re Looking For
Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Science Communication, Life Sciences/Biotechnology with a marketing passion, or related fields.
Strong interest in biotechnology, healthcare innovation, or genomics.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (working language); Spanish is a plus.
An eye for clean visual design and storytelling that turns complex technical topics into accessible content.
Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
What We Offer
Meaningful Mission: Work directly on projects that communicate breakthroughs in early cancer diagnostics.
Inspiring Workspace: Our offices and labs are located in Barcelona’s innovation district in Poblenou.
Flexibility: Hybrid work model (remote flexibility + on-site collaboration).
Direct Mentorship: Close collaboration with leadership, scientists, and industry advisors.
