POSITION OVERVIEW: The Marketing Coordinator supports the development and execution of Field to Market’s marketing and communications initiatives, including written content, digital and social media programming, video production, and email marketing campaigns. This role plays an integral part in advancing the organization’s visibility, member engagement, and mission-driven storytelling. Working closely with staff, members, creative vendors, and external partners, the Coordinator will support content development, social media execution, video, event marketing and outbound marketing communications while maintaining the accuracy and validity of communications tools such as websites, signage and fact sheets. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented self-starter with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong written and visual communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams. RESPONSIBILITIES: Content & Communications Write, edit, and proofread content for digital and print materials, including newsletters, website copy, member communications, reports, and marketing collateral. Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and style across all communications channels. Collaborate with program staff to translate technical and programmatic content into clear, engaging materials for diverse audiences. Support development of marketing materials for meetings, events, and leadership programs. Design communications tools such as flyers, fact sheets, social media graphics and on-site event signage. Digital & Social Media Management Execute a content calendar across social media platforms and channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X) to grow engagement and awareness. Draft, schedule, and publish digital content aligned with organizational priorities and campaigns. Monitor social media channels, respond to engagement, and track performance metrics to inform strategy. Stay current on platform trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to optimize reach and engagement. Plan, shoot, and edit video content for social media, website, and digital campaigns. Repurpose existing content into video and multimedia formats to extend reach. Plan, execute, and manage outbound email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, content development, scheduling, and performance analysis. Maintain and update website content across multiple sites utilizing site management tools (i.e. WordPress, Drupal). Campaign, Vendor & Project Management Manage relationships with creative vendors and freelancers (e.g., designers, videographers, printers), including scope, timelines, and deliverables. Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Track and report on marketing metrics and campaign performance to inform future strategy. Support other marketing and communications functions as relevant, including other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field. Minimum 2 years professional experience in communications, marketing, graphic design or public relations (nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience preferred). Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) and basic web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). Experience with CRM or association management systems (Hubspot preferred). Familiarity with sustainability, agricultural, or environmental programs preferred. Travel up to 20%, including meetings, events, conferences, and other mission-related activities. Located within 2 hours driving distance from a major airport to support travel requirements. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and to collaborate with a geographically distributed team. WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position primarily involves computer-based work in a remote office setting. Occasional lifting of materials (i. e. up to 20lbs) may be required for events. Travel, including air and ground transportation, may be required for meetings, events, and site visits. GRANT-DEPENDENT STATUS: This position is funded in substantial part by one or more external grants and/or restricted program funds. Continuation of this position, and continued employment in this role, is expressly contingent upon the availability of such funding as determined by the organization in its sole discretion. If grant funding is reduced, delayed, or not renewed, the duties, hours, compensation, and/or the position itself may be modified, subject to applicable laws and the organization’s policies.
