Brands: Sprayground, Rossimoda, Kangol and selected private-label brands
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Position: Full Time, Hybrid - 3 days in office / 2 days work from home
Reporting to: Head of Marketing
SOLE Distribution is a Johannesburg-based fashion and lifestyle business operating across footwear, apparel and accessories. Our portfolio includes Sprayground, Rossimoda, Kangol and selected private-label brands, serving wholesale, retail and e-commerce channels.
We are looking for a meticulous, highly organised Marketing Coordinator who brings structure, accuracy and consistent follow-through to a busy, multi-brand environment.
You will coordinate marketing activities and projects from the initial brief through to final approval and delivery, ensuring that people, information, resources and deadlines remain aligned.
Working closely with our marketing, sales, design and operations teams, as well as external agencies and suppliers, you will help turn agreed plans into well-executed campaigns, launches and marketing materials.
This is a coordination focused role, not solely a social-media or content-creation position. Strong administration, planning, attention to detail and the ability to start and finish projects are essential.
Marketing planning and project coordination
Maintain marketing calendars, campaign schedules and project trackers across multiple brands. Break projects into clear tasks, responsibilities, deadlines and approval stages, and follow them through to completion.
Administration and organisation
Prepare meeting agendas, record action points and follow up on outstanding tasks. Keep accurate records, organised folders, contact lists and supporting documentation, with clear file naming and version control.
Campaigns and product launches
Coordinate the information, assets and approvals required for product launches, retailer campaigns, emailers, website updates, social-media activity and brand activations. Align marketing deadlines with confirmed product availability.
Photoshoots and marketing materials
Coordinate samples, shoot schedules, shot lists, photographers and sample returns. Track the preparation and delivery of product imagery, catalogues, retailer line lists, presentations and point-of-sale materials.
Accuracy and quality control
Check product names, codes, images, pricing, dates, copy, logos and links against approved information. Ensure materials are accurate, consistent with each brand’s guidelines and approved before release.
Team, agency and supplier coordination
Prepare complete briefs, communicate requirements clearly and track agreed deliverables. Follow up professionally, identify missing information and raise potential delays early.
Budget administration and reporting
Coordinate quotations, purchase-order requests and invoice documentation with Finance. Track expenditure against approved budgets and provide clear progress updates on deadlines, outstanding approvals and completed work.
- Ideally, three or more years of relevant experience in marketing coordination, brand administration, agency traffic management or project coordination.
- Excellent administration, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong proofreading skills and a habit of checking work thoroughly before sharing it.
- Clear written and verbal communication, confident follow-up and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, presentation software, email and calendars. Experience with project-management tools is advantageous.
- A proactive, dependable approach, with a strong sense of ownership and the discipline to see projects through to completion.
Experience in fashion, footwear, accessories, retail or a multi-brand business would be valuable.
Familiarity with Shopify, Canva, digital asset management, photoshoot coordination and international brand-approval processes would also be beneficial.
A relevant marketing, communications or business qualification is advantageous. Practical experience and demonstrated capability are equally important.
You keep projects organised, information accurate and stakeholders informed. You identify potential issues early, follow up without constant prompting and ensure that completed work has been checked, approved and delivered.
You take pride in getting the details right—and finishing what you start.
Please apply via LinkedIn or email your CV to kylan@soledistribution.co.za and a short introduction outlining your relevant experience, including an example of a project you coordinated from start to finish.
Please include your notice period and salary expectations.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to complete a short, role-related practical exercise.
