Are you ready to turn your interest in social media into hands-on marketing experience? Join Kohler as our newest Marketing Coordinator – Organic Social, Student and gain practical experience supporting the execution and day-to-day operation of Kohler’s social media channels.
You will work alongside Social Media Managers and cross-functional partners to help coordinate content publishing, platform administration, moderation workflows, social listening, performance reporting, and content archiving across priority platforms. This execution-focused opportunity will help you build the organization, judgment, technical knowledge, and analytical skills needed for a career in social media, digital marketing, or content operations.
What You'll Do
As a Marketing Coordinator – Organic Social, Student, you will support approved social media plans and recurring channel operations, including:
- Publish and schedule approved content across priority platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
- Configure approved captions, tags, metadata, thumbnails, links, and other post-level settings based on platform requirements.
- Complete pre-publish quality checks for copy, creative assets, links, tagging, accessibility, and platform settings.
- Monitor live content, confirm successful publication, and troubleshoot or escalate publishing issues as needed.
- Support routine channel maintenance and administration within approved social media tools.
- Monitor brand conversations, category discussions, competitor activity, platform updates, and emerging social trends.
- Compile listening summaries and surface relevant examples, audience observations, and changes in platform behavior.
- Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and moderation queues; support responses using approved guidelines and escalation processes.
- Escalate customer concerns, product issues, sensitive topics, and potential reputational risks to the appropriate partners.
- Collect, organize, and validate platform and campaign data for recurring performance reports.
- Track established metrics such as reach, impressions, engagement, video views, clicks, and follower growth.
- Identify notable results and preliminary observations for Social Media Managers to evaluate.
- Download, organize, and archive published social content according to established governance and retention processes.
- Participate in cross-functional planning meetings and communicate status, risks, errors, and follow-up needs clearly.
