BROAD FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
Breakthrough T1D is seeking a Marketing Data & Insights Contractor to provide project-based support to the Marketing Analytics & Digital Strategy team. This contract role will support a range of marketing analytics, reporting, data quality, documentation, and data integration priorities, with assignments evolving based on organizational needs.
The Marketing Analytics & Digital Strategy team is responsible for strengthening Breakthrough T1D’s data infrastructure, improving how marketing performance is measured, and ensuring decision-makers have access to clear, actionable insights. The contractor will work across marketing, fundraising, technology, and chapter teams to help translate data into practical reporting, analysis, and processes that support organizational decision-making.
This is a 40-hour-per-week contract engagement expected to last 6–8 months. Project scope and priorities may evolve throughout the contract based on organizational needs.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Analytics & Reporting
·Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of dashboards, recurring reports, and ad hoc analyses for national and chapter-level marketing programs.
·Partner with stakeholders to define reporting needs, key performance indicators, data sources, business rules, and reporting cadence.
·Analyze marketing performance and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
Data Management & Integration
·Support cross-functional initiatives involving marketing data sources, data pipelines, integrations, warehousing, CRM, email, web analytics, paid media, social media, and other platforms.
·Assist with data validation, quality assurance, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to improve the accuracy and consistency of reporting.
·Develop and maintain documentation such as data dictionaries, business glossaries, standard operating procedures, data flow documentation, and reporting guidance.
Project & Stakeholder Support
·Provide flexible project support across marketing analytics, measurement, reporting, data governance, and related technology initiatives.
·Work with Marketing, Fundraising, Technology, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, coordinate deliverables, identify issues, and support implementation.
·Take on additional marketing data and insights projects as priorities evolve during the contract term.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, digital analytics, reporting, data strategy, or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency with data visualization and reporting platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, or comparable tools.
- Working knowledge of marketing data ecosystems, which may include CRM, email, web analytics, paid media, social media, and fundraising data.
- Experience with data quality, validation, documentation, and/or data governance practices.
- Ability to translate business questions and data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project, time, and task management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Ability to learn new systems and adapt to changing project and stakeholder needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Nonprofit or multi-channel marketing experience is a plus.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in analytics, marketing, communications, information technology, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Hourly Rate: $40/hour
