Build the Future of Global Markets

At Arcus, our mission is to empower anyone to build wealth by making investing accessible, affordable, and simple. The team behind Arcus previously built dYdX, helping power over $1.5 trillion in trading volume. Now we're bringing the world's financial markets onchain.

Built in partnership with Robinhood Chain and backed by a direct investment from Robinhood Crypto, Arcus brings crypto, stock tokens, commodities, and perpetual futures into one self-custodied account. Our vision is to build the world's best spot and perpetuals exchange - trusted, accessible, and reliable, with deep liquidity and accurate prices. Every asset, 24/7.
  • Experienced team: Google, Meta, Citadel, DRW, IMC Trading, Stripe, Coinbase, and more.
  • Leading backers and advisors: Andreessen Horowitz, Polychain Capital, Brian Armstrong, Fred Ehrsam, Naval Ravikant, Elad Gil, and more.

Join us in shaping the next generation of global financial markets.

OVERVIEW:
We’re looking for a designer who understands financial products, from charts and earnings recaps to order flow and market data, and enjoys turning early ideas into compelling creative. You’ll bring your own perspective, ask thoughtful questions, and help shape the work from concept to execution.

Our product serves two distinct audiences: crypto-native traders who actively share their trades on social, and sophisticated retail traders in markets like Singapore and Dubai who may be new to crypto and compare us to platforms like IBKR. You’ll create work that resonates with each audience, adapting the visual approach while keeping the Arcus brand consistent.

This role sits in Marketing. You’ll partner with Product Marketing on briefs, campaign direction, and launch timing, and with the Head of Social Media on day-to-day content and channel-specific formats. You’ll also collaborate with the product design team to maintain a cohesive visual identity, with your focus on marketing rather than app design.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN:
  • Static and video content for social, campaigns, and community: earnings recaps, market charts, launch creative, product explainers
  • Two distinct visual tracks:
    • Twitter native: leaderboard graphics, performance-style callouts, meme-adjacent trader culture
    • Traditional finance fluent: clean data visualization, regulated-brand polish, broker grade or FinTech aesthetic
  • Turning rough direction into finished, on-brand assets with minimal back-and-forth
  • A lightweight, reusable template system that flexes across both tracks
  • Visual consistency with the core product, coordinated with the product design team
  • Localized creative for target markets: real layout adaptation, not just translated copy
  • Managing external video agencies for major product launch videos: briefing them, reviewing cuts, and giving feedback to keep launch video quality and tone consistent with everything else you're producing in-house

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Has designed for a financial product before: trading platform, fintech, broker, or markets-adjacent; crypto/DeFi experience fine if paired with real trading understanding
  • Comfortable working off a rough brief and filling in the rest
  • Fast in Figma, comfortable using AI tools to move quicker
  • Instinctive sense for what makes a chart or data point shareable
  • Can tell the difference between "built for someone who's been liquidated once" and "built for someone who's used a Bloomberg terminal," and knows which one a piece needs

NICE TO HAVES:
  • Designed for a crypto exchange, prediction market, or trading platform specifically
  • Designed for a FinTech or regional brokerage (Tiger Brokers, Futu, IBKR-style) serving international retail traders
  • Motion/video experience for X, TikTok, YouTube
  • Used to daily content cadence, not long production cycles
  • Comfortable managing and updating Framer webpages

NOT A FIT:
  • Agency designers who need a full creative brief for every asset
  • Consumer brand designers with no trading or fintech exposure
  • Anyone who needs formal review cycles instead of fast, informal feedback

Compensation: $10,000–$20,000 USD per month, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a month-to-month contractor role, with scope and monthly hours to be discussed and agreed upon before the engagement begins.
