Citi is looking for an SVP, Marketing Effectiveness & Measurement to lead how we measure, prove, and improve the impact of marketing across the organization. Sitting within the Brand, Innovation, and Content team and reporting to the Head of Intelligence and Effectiveness, this role builds the measurement frameworks that connect marketing investment to business growth. You will partner with marketing teams across Citi to turn complex data into insights that shape strategy for brand campaigns, sponsorships, content, and digital programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of measurement frameworks that quantify the ROI of marketing investments across brand campaigns, sponsorships, and digital programs.
- Partner with business marketing teams to shape campaign design and learning agendas that improve in-market performance.
- Build governance for measuring content marketing, sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and experiential events.
- Work with shared capabilities teams to connect data, tools, and platforms into a single measurement approach.
- Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for senior leadership and marketing stakeholders.
- Educate marketing teams on measurement best practices and analytical techniques to build a data-driven culture.
- Track emerging trends in marketing science and analytics technology to strengthen Citi's measurement capabilities.
- Assess risk in marketing decisions and escalate control issues to protect Citi and its clients.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Progressive experience in marketing analytics, marketing science, or a related data-driven marketing field.
- Hands-on expertise with marketing measurement techniques including MMM, MTA, brand lift studies, and custom ROI analysis.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills to turn large, complex datasets into business insights.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across a large, matrixed organization, from practitioners to senior executives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to tell a clear story through data.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Experience designing measurement frameworks for content, sponsorship, or event marketing.
- Background in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- Familiarity with modern marketing technology, including ad servers, data management platforms, and analytics visualization tools.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Master's degree.
