Covering maternity leave during a full calendar year, you’ll take ownership of a broad range of channels and campaigns, writing compelling content for diverse audiences and delivering projects on time and at pace. About Distinct
Distinct is an independent recruitment agency based in Nottingham, committed to supporting people to thrive.
We work across specialist markets supporting businesses and candidates across the UK, alongside a rapidly growing footprint in the US. Our team is spread across our Nottingham HQ, Leeds and central London.
We’re a people-first business and that applies to our internal team just as much as our customers. We give our people the freedom and support to do their best work and clear recognition for their contributions.
Our marketing team is central to our growth strategy. You’ll be joining at an exciting time as we expand our multi-market presence and elevate our brand across every channel.
Key responsibilities:
- Ownership of the creation and delivery of marketing content and design assets across our primary channels for both UK and US markets. This is a hands-on role where content is created by you, not generated by AI and delivered to a high standard and at pace
- Engaging, accurate copywriting across different platforms, including industry blogs, website landing pages, social media, marketing collateral, adverts and email campaigns
- Acting as the marketing representative for company events, taking responsibility for promotion and preparing all marketing materials for internal and external events
- Working to a quarterly content plan covering a variety of specialist industries and topics across our UK and US audiences
- Occasional travel: The role may require monthly travel to our Leeds and London offices alongside the team (fully expensed).
Role requirements:
- Marketing experience: Proven experience in a Marketing Executive, Coordinator or Copywriter position
- Blog writing: Strong blog writing experience is essential, with ability to produce original, engaging copy from scratch, without relying on AI tools
- Adaptable to different markets: ability to tailor messaging and writing style effectively for UK vs. US audiences
- CMS: Experience using WordPress (or a similar CMS)
- Confident communicator: able to build relationships with team members across our three offices
- Proactive mindset: Highly proactive with the flexibility to handle fast-paced, reactive requests.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Passion for social media: prior experience with LinkedIn, including an understanding of tone of voice across different channels
- Prior experience with event coordination or support
- Hands-on experience with Canva, creating and adapting custom designs.
Perks and benefits:
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
- Hybrid working: option to work from home two days a week following successful completion of your training period
- Optional three paid volunteer/charity days per year
- Free snacks, fresh fruit, soft drinks and 200 Degrees coffee.
