Oritain is a global leader in forensic origin verification of products and raw materials. With offices in Washington D.C, Auckland, Dunedin, London, Paris and Singapore our vision is to be the source of truth in global supply chains.

Through our proprietary methodology, our mission is to harness cutting edge science, data, and specialized services to create a community of origin verified buyers and suppliers, protecting our people and planet. We empower the world’s leading brands to make positive changes across their supply chain; ensuring product integrity, meeting regulatory demands, and reducing the risk of fraud and unethical sourcing, creating real change in our world.

About the role:

This is a newly created role and our first dedicated marketing hire focused on the US. You’ll take our global marketing strategy and bring it to life in the US, building a regional approach from the ground up as we grow.

It’s a hands-on, commercially focused role with a genuine balance of field marketing and account-based marketing. Working side by side with our US Sales team, you’ll plan and deliver the events, executive engagement and targeted account programs that build pipeline with our priority customers. Your focus will be mainly on cotton, with the opportunity to help launch newer commodities such as timber and leather as they scale.

You’ll be based on-site in our Washington D.C. office, alongside some of our most experienced commercial colleagues, and part of a collaborative global marketing team.

We’re a high-growth business in a fast-moving market, and many of our ways of working are still being built. If you enjoy shaping how things are done, not just following an existing playbook, this is a real chance to put your stamp on how Oritain shows up in the US.

What you'll be doing

Bringing our global strategy to life in the US. You’ll translate our global marketing strategy and annual plan into a US marketing plan with clear priorities, audiences and measures of success. That means adapting campaigns, messaging and content to reflect what matters to US buyers, from regulatory drivers such as the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act and customs enforcement to the competitive landscape. Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll keep US activity aligned with global priorities and feed US market insight, customer feedback and competitor intelligence back into our global plans.

Owning field marketing and events. You’ll lead our US event program end to end, from choosing the right events and managing suppliers to delivering on the day. Every event will have clear commercial objectives agreed with Sales, supported by pre- and post-event campaigns that turn conversations into meetings, opportunities and pipeline. You’ll also look for speaking, sponsorship and partnership opportunities that raise Oritain’s profile, and use performance data to recommend where to invest, adjust or stop.

Partnering with Sales on account-based marketing. You’ll work with US Sales leadership and account executives to agree target accounts, account plans and engagement priorities, tracking progress through regular account and pipeline reviews. From there, you’ll design and deliver one-to-one and one-to-few programs tailored to each account and buying group. Alongside our Growth, Product Marketing and Content colleagues, you’ll make sure the US sales team has the personalized content, toolkits and messaging it needs.

Growing customer advocacy. With our Customer Success and Sales teams, you’ll uncover US customer stories, references and testimonials, and create spaces such as roundtables and peer-to-peer forums where customers and prospects can engage with Oritain. Our Communications team leads PR and media, so you’ll work hand in hand with them on campaigns while keeping your focus on execution and results.

Showing the impact. You’ll report clearly on US marketing performance and marketing’s contribution to revenue, and help shape a more regionally led marketing model as the function grows.

What we're looking for

You’ll bring at least five years of B2B marketing experience in the US market, with a strong grounding in both field marketing and account-based marketing. You’ve planned and delivered events and account-based programs in close partnership with Sales, adapted global campaigns for regional audiences, and can point to the pipeline you’ve built and the revenue your marketing has influenced.

You’re highly organized and comfortable running several events and campaigns at once. You’re at home using CRM and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce to track engagement and report on performance. The role involves regular travel across the US and occasional international travel.

Just as important is how you work. We hire for potential and mindset as much as experience, so we’re looking for someone with energy, curiosity and a real sense of ownership. You’ll be proactive, open to feedback, comfortable bringing your own ideas, and excited rather than frustrated by building something new.

It would be a bonus if you have experience in SaaS, technology, supply chain, sustainability, or risk and compliance, particularly marketing to enterprise brands and retailers with sustainability, sourcing, procurement or compliance buyers. An understanding of supply chain traceability or regulation such as the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA), familiarity with AI-powered go-to-market tools such as Clay, or experience in a global organization with a regionally led marketing model would also be valuable. If you don’t meet every one of these, we’d still love to hear from you.

What you'll get

  • Salary: $110,000-$130,000
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Life insurance and critical illness cover
  • Medical insurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • 401(k)
  • Learning portal with over 100,000 assets for professional development
We believe great teams are built from different perspectives, experiences, and ways of thinking. We welcome applications from everyone and encourage you to bring your whole self to the process. If there’s anything we can do to support you, including any reasonable adjustments at any stage of hiring, please let the team know.
