At Smart, our mission is to transform retirement, savings and financial wellbeing, across all generations, around the world.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Marketing Performance Manager to optimise the effectiveness and efficiency of our marketing campaigns and channels. This critical role will be responsible for diving deep into marketing data, identifying trends, uncovering insights, and providing actionable recommendations to maximise our return on marketing investment. This role will also help us set up a long-term brand performance dashboard, and run regular competitor reviews. If you are passionate about performance measurement, obsessed with data, and thrive on turning numbers into strategic growth, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities include:
1. Performance Analysis & Reporting:
Define, track, and report on key marketing performance metrics and KPIs across all channels (e.g., digital advertising, content marketing, email, social media, and to a lesser extent SEO/SEM/GEO).
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear, concise, and actionable insights into campaign performance.
Develop a long-term brand performance measurement framework.
Conduct in-depth analysis of marketing data to identify trends, opportunities for optimisation, and areas of underperformance - including looking at competitors.
Present performance findings and strategic recommendations to marketing leadership and cross-functional teams.
2. Campaign Optimisation & Strategy:
Work closely with campaign managers, digital marketing specialists, and content teams to recommend data-driven adjustments to ongoing campaigns for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
Identify target audience segments, develop A/B testing strategies, and analyse results to continuously refine messaging, creative, and channel mix.
Forecast marketing performance and budget needs based on historical data and strategic objectives.
Contribute to the development of overall marketing strategies by providing insights into market trends, competitive performance, and consumer behaviour.
3. Marketing Technology & Data Management:
Oversee the effective use of marketing analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Clarity) and marketing automation systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Bloomreach).
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across various marketing tools and databases.
Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve data collection, integration, and reporting capabilities.
Stay abreast of the latest trends in marketing performance measurement, analytics tools, and data privacy regulations.
4. Budget & ROI Management:
Monitor and report marketing spend against budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
Develop methodologies for attributing revenue and conversions to specific marketing activities.
Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making within the marketing team.
Team & Scope:
Brand(s): Smart, Smart Pension, Keystone

Strong proficiency in marketing analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4 expertise highly preferred), Adobe Analytics, or similar.
Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI) and building interactive dashboards.
Demonstrated ability to analyse large datasets, identify patterns, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
