Marketing & Social Media Manager

About the Role We are an Austin, Texas-based food brand creating colorful, veggie-packed products designed to make healthy eating easier, more convenient, and more fun — primarily serving busy families with young children. As we prepare for our next stage of growth, we're looking for a creative and proactive Marketing & Social Media Manager to help build brand awareness, strengthen our community, and execute marketing across digital and physical channels. This is a hands-on marketing role with approximately 50% social media , supported by website content, email/community marketing, and physical retail materials. You'll work closely with the Founder while taking ownership of day-to-day marketing execution — we're looking for someone who can take an idea from concept through to a polished finished asset. Work Structure & Requirements Location: Remote / Virtual Schedule: Part-time (20 hours per week) Time Zone: CDT (Central Time) business hours Compensation: $10 USD per hour Key Responsibilities 1. Social Media (50%) Develop and execute social media strategy alongside the Founder Manage the brand across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, with expansion into LinkedIn Build and maintain a consistent content calendar Create engaging organic content including short-form video, static posts, carousels, and graphics Develop creative assets that can also be used across paid social campaigns Write engaging, on-brand captions, hooks, and social copy Identify relevant trends and translate them into content that feels authentic to the brand Track content performance and use insights to continually improve creative and strategy Help build a consistent visual identity and tone of voice across all social channels 2. Website Content (20%) Write, edit, and update product page copy Create blog, educational, and brand-storytelling content that supports SEO Make ongoing website content updates using Wix Help translate campaigns and product launches into compelling on-site content 3. Email & Community (20%) Develop and execute email marketing campaigns and newsletters Write engaging email copy aligned with our brand voice Coordinate email messaging with social, website, and broader campaign activity Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement, loyalty, and connection with our community 4. Physical & Print Marketing (10%) Design retail POS materials including shelf talkers, end-cap signage, and sampling table materials Create professional sell sheets and one-pagers for retail buyer conversations Design flyers and promotional materials for local events and pop-ups Develop packaging inserts and co-marketing materials for retail partners Ensure physical marketing materials remain consistent with our broader visual identity Required Skills & Experience Experience: 2+ years in social media management, content marketing, brand marketing, or a similar role Platforms: Strong hands-on experience managing Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook Design: Excellent design and creative capabilities with a strong eye for layout, branding, and visual consistency; proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools; comfortable creating both digital and print-ready marketing assets Content: Strong short-form video and social content creation skills; excellent copywriting skills across social, website, email, and marketing collateral Tools: Experience with Wix or confidence learning it quickly; experience with email marketing platforms Profile: Creative all-rounder who can both think strategically and execute — equally comfortable editing a Reel, designing a retail sell sheet, writing a product page, or building an email campaign; proactive and able to take ownership without waiting for step-by-step instructions Industry: Experience with food, beverage, CPG, family, parenting, or e-commerce brands is a strong advantage
