WHO WE ARE

Let Our Journeys Enrich Life

Carry essentials exist to make movement a worry-free experience, allowing us to focus on the bigger picture of our journeys. Today's industry brands are exhibiting a growing disconnection from the deeper purpose of movement, seen in standard-fare products that neither challenge norms nor present new solutions that facilitate better mobility.

LOJEL is about refocusing on how people move, but more importantly, why: connection. Putting the purpose of our journeys at the forefront of the discussion opens up opportunities for innovation. This process of discovery is what lets us empower people to move better and focus on what truly matters.

Our mission is to spark the human connections that make the world a better place—by empowering people’s journeys with thoughtful carry essentials for travel and everyday movement. We are Driven By Diversity, Intentional By Design and Purposely Positive—core values upholding our ultimate goal to inspire movement within communities and across the globe.

LOJEL is an international carry essentials brand—founded in Japan in 1989, currently headquartered in Hong Kong with teams in North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific—and is sold in 15 territories across the globe.

SUSTAINABILITY AT LOJEL

At LOJEL, we're committed to doing business responsibly. As a certified B Corporation, sustainability is injected into everything we do, from material sourcing to ethical marketing. Through our team's efforts, and with the help of our corporate governance structures, we have been able to improve our sustainability performance incrementally. We strive for performance through internal sustainability targets and public commitments. All members of the team have designated targets formalising what they can do to support LOJEL on its sustainability journey.

About The Role

We are looking for an all-rounded Regional Marketing Specialist who is ready to take full ownership of our regional footprint. Our regional team operates with the agility and accountability of a startup. We do not rely on large marketing budgets or agency retainers. We rely on smart in-house execution, sharp aesthetic discernment, and the itch to continually innovate. In this role, you will work side by side with the Regional Marketing Manager across 360-degree marketing touchpoints, translating brand vision into hands-on execution.

This is a two-way commitment. We do not hire order-takers. We back builders. If you bring the dedication to deliver quality work, an eye for refined visual presentation, and a genuine eagerness to build things from scratch, you will have a manager fully invested in your success. You will receive active mentorship, direct autonomy, and the operational platform to see just how far your ideas can grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct KOL & Partner Outreach: Own creator and community relations entirely in-house. Research, pitch, and nurture genuine, long-term relationships with aligned KOLs, creators, and lifestyle collaborators.
  • End-to-End Campaign Delivery: Take concepts from raw ideas to final physical and digital delivery. Oversee production schedules, manage local vendor coordination, write clean copy, and solve operational bottlenecks independently.
  • In-House Visual Merchandising (VM): Lead hands-on seasonal VM updates and product display installations across regional retail touchpoints and our flagship Experience Hub. Ensure spatial layouts reflect LOJEL’s balance, restraint, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flagship Experience Hub Activation: Maximize our physical retail and hub space. Conceptualize, coordinate, and execute in-person community events, interactive workshops, brand partnerships, and customer experiences from setup to teardown.
  • Market & Performance Pulse: Monitor local cultural and design trends closely. Evaluate campaign and event performance with concrete data and propose clear, practical iterations rather than abstract concepts.

Profile & Success Criteria

  • Sharp Aesthetic Eye: You possess natural design discernment and care deeply about visual harmony. You understand how spatial balance, styling, and material textures elevate physical retail spaces.
  • Builder Mentality: You take pride in seeing things through. You enjoy the process of turning an initial sketch or rough concept into a fully realized campaign or display.
  • Resourceful & Hands-On: You excel in lean environments. You are ready to style shelves, carry display fixtures, and manage direct communications yourself without waiting for external agencies.
  • Proactive & One Step Ahead: You do not wait for instructions or a daily checklist. You look at our spaces, campaigns, and schedules, spot what is missing, and step forward with solutions.
  • Meticulous & Grounded: You communicate clearly and back up ideas with facts and practical reasoning. You understand that consistency and precision matter far more than empty claims.
  • Flexible & Adaptable: Startup environments shift quickly. You handle changes calmly, test new directions, and maintain forward momentum.

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of all-rounded generalist marketing experience across lifestyle, design, retail, or consumer goods sectors.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Visual Merchandising (VM), retail styling, window display setup, or physical event production.
  • Demonstrated aesthetic sensibility and a clear understanding of minimalist, functional design principles.
  • Track record of personally sourcing, pitching, and managing KOL/creator relationships in-house.
  • Solid project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple physical and digital deliverables concurrently.
  • Precise written and spoken communication skills.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

  • Competitive remuneration
  • 20 Annual Leave Days
  • Additional leaves including maternity, paternity, dental, marriage, childcare & adoption leaves
  • Medical and Dental Insurance
  • LOJEL friends & family discount year-round
