About Sendmarc
We are a cyber security company that is on a mission to make the internet a safer place. At our roots, we do this by delivering tooling and services related to an international standard, DMARC. Our technology enables organisations to protect their staff, customers, suppliers, and the whole world from email spoofing and impersonation attacks on their domains. We’re now entering into a new era of extending our product to a multi-faceted platform that services a global audience.
We're a fully remote company with the majority of our builders working out of South Africa and sales teams in the Netherlands, the US, Latin America, Australia and the UK.
Mission
Be Sendmarc's marketing presence in UK/EU. Take the central playbook and make it work in-region — run the events and partner co-marketing that generate pipeline, and bring what you learn back so the playbook gets better everywhere.
Why this role exists
Sendmarc runs one marketing playbook globally, executed locally. The centre owns brand, content, creative and the event systems. The region owns whether any of it actually lands. UK/EU is where a large share of our partner business lives - distributors and VARs who sell Sendmarc alongside the rest of their security portfolio, and who need co-marketing to do it well. Today that region has no dedicated marketer. Events get run centrally from HQ, partner co-marketing happens when a partner manager finds time, and nobody owns the question of what a UK buyer or a UK partner actually responds to.
This role is the region's marketer. More than a campaign executor waiting for a brief, the person who decides how the central strategy gets deployed in this market, and who fills in around the edges when central capacity is short.
Outcomes
- Regional events: Own the UK/EU event calendar end to end. This includes flagship trade shows, partner summits, roundtables and smaller field activations. Run the central playbooks in-region, adapt them where the market genuinely differs, and hold the follow-up discipline that turns a stand full of conversations into pipeline. Events are how we buy attention in a market where inboxes are saturated, so the bar is real pipeline, not photos or number of badge scans.
- Partner co-marketing:
- Build relationships with UK/EU distributors and VARs, anchored by regular marketing QBR sessions to keep both sides aligned on plans and progress.
- Plan and run joint campaigns that help partners market Sendmarc to their own customer base, using our tooling and their trusted relationship.
- Own the MDF conversations and make sure the spend produces something measurable.
- Regional strategy and localisation: Own what UK/EU needs from the global strategy: decide what to run as-is, what to adapt, what to skip, and what's missing entirely. Translate the campaigns, content and positioning you keep into something that actually works for this market, and flag gaps back to central where the global playbook doesn't fit European buying behaviour.
- Regional pipeline contribution. Own the marketing-sourced and partner-sourced contribution from the region. Know the number, know what moves it, and be the person who can explain a soft quarter without guessing.
- Generalist cover. Contribute to marketing as a whole when central draws on regional capacity, not only to your own region. This work is requested against your availability, not assumed, so flag early if it's going to compromise your regional priorities.
- Help mold the Global Strategy and the playbook. Use your market learnings to provide evidence and propose iterations to the global strategy, so the playbook improves rather than quietly gets worked around. Test proposed changes against how they'd land in other regions before pushing them centrally. This isn't about bending the playbook to what UK/EU wants, it's about making it better for everyone.
Competencies
Field and channel marketing
- Has run B2B events end to end including budget, logistics, stand, messaging, staffing, follow-up. Has been responsible for what came out rather than whether it happened
- Has run partner or channel co-marketing: joint campaigns, partner enablement, MDF
- Understands that a partner is a marketing audience in their own right, not just a distribution route
- Comfortable owning a regional number
Generalist marketing
- Broad marketing background. Has worked across campaigns, content, digital and brand rather than in one narrow specialism
- Can produce good work without a full central team behind them, and knows when to ask central for help instead of rebuilding it locally
- Knows when to evolve tactics versus update strategy.
Ways of working
- Comfortable with lots of travel in EU and UK. This job requires travel around DACH, Nordics, Benelux and UKI at a frequency of around twice a month.
- Self-directed. Works remotely, in a region, without daily supervision, and makes local calls without waiting for permission
- Works across a matrix. Comfortable with a central functional line and a regional line, and with resolving the tension rather than escalating it
- Bias to shipping on strategy and creative. Iterates rather than polishing, gets a good version out and adjusts from real signal rather than waiting for perfect.
- Organised and precise on execution. Running events, MDF spend and partner campaigns solo means nothing catches errors before they go out, tight logistics and clean detail matter as much as speed.
- Energised by pace and change. Comfortable in a fast-moving company where the plan changes and resources are tight.
- AI-fluent. Our marketing team builds with AI tools as standard — prompt architecture is written into the copywriting and design roles here
- Stays on-brand under autonomy. Makes local calls but brand tone, voice and CI hold regardless, adaptation for the UK/EU market never becomes a reason to drift off it.
Experience
- 5+ years in B2B marketing, with real ownership of events and/or channel marketing
- Experience in technology, SaaS or cyber security. Cyber is a strong plus, not a requirement
- Has worked with partners, resellers, MSPs or distributors
- Based in the UK or EU, comfortable travelling in-region for events
Who we're looking for
You are the person a regional team is glad arrived. You turn up to a partner conversation with a campaign rather than a questionnaire, and you know the difference between an event that filled a room and an event that filled a pipeline.
You are happy being the only marketer in your region and you do not confuse that with being alone - you use the central team well, and you give them back what they cannot see from head office. You participate in both the global strategy and regional strategy at the same time.
