About B8ak
B8ak is a home services marketplace in Saudi Arabia. Customers book cleaning and maintenance through our app and web platform; thousands of vetted service professionals pick up that work and get paid through us. We've served well over 180,000 customers since launch, and the business runs on high frequency — our customers come back often, which means every friction point in the booking flow shows up in the numbers quickly.
The role
You'll own the end-to-end experience of a two-sided marketplace: the customer booking a cleaner for Thursday morning, and the technician managing their day's jobs. These are very different users with very different constraints, and the product only works when both sides do.
This is a hands-on design role with real ownership. You'll work directly with Product, Engineering, Growth and Operations, and you'll see the impact of your work in conversion and repeat-booking data within weeks.
What you'll do
- Design flows, screens and components for the B8ak customer app, service-provider app, and web platform — from first sketch to production-ready specs
- Own the booking funnel: service selection, scheduling, address and basket, checkout. Reducing drop-off here is the single highest-leverage design problem we have.
- Optimize the booking funnel to yield better conversion page-to-page.
- Improve the first-time-to-repeat experience — onboarding, post-service follow-up, rebooking and loyalty surfaces.
- Design for the provider side: job acceptance, scheduling, navigation, earnings and ratings.
- Build and maintain our design system across Arabic (RTL) and English (LTR), iOS, Android and web
- Run usability sessions with Saudi customers and with service professionals in the field, and turn what you learn into concrete design changes.
- Partner with Growth on A/B tests — basket size, pricing presentation, lifecycle messaging — and design the variants properly rather than as afterthoughts.
- Work with engineers through implementation and QA so what ships matches what was designed.
- Full understanding of agile development and JIRA work environment.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years designing digital products, with at least 2 years on consumer mobile apps.
- A portfolio showing shipped work, with clear reasoning about the problem, the constraints and the outcome — not just polished screens
- Strong command of Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout and prototyping
- Real experience designing bilingual Arabic/English products with proper RTL handling. This is not a nice-to-have for us.
- Comfort with data: you can read a funnel, form a hypothesis about where users are struggling, and design against it.
- Working knowledge of iOS and Android platform conventions and what is realistic to build
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Strong AI fluency to expedite deliverables.
Bonus points
- Marketplace, on-demand, delivery or logistics experience.
- Experience designing for field workers or blue-collar users, especially on low-end devices and patchy connections.
- Familiarity with lifecycle and CRM tools (WebEngage, Braze, CleverTap).
- Service design or operations-facing tooling experience.
- Motion design, or front-end familiarity (HTML/CSS).
What we offer
- A product used every day by households across the Kingdom, with immediate and visible impact.
- Design ownership of a core surface rather than ticket-taking.
- A fast team where decisions get made in days, not quarters.
- Competitive salary, medical insurance, and standard Saudi benefits.
- On-site work with great work environment in Khobar city, we are also open to hire remotely with the right talents.
