Mechanical Design Officer

In this role, you'll:

Reporting to the Senior Project Design Engineer, you will work closely with engineers, project managers and stakeholders to develop accurate design documentation for mechanical equipment, structural components and site layouts.

You will translate engineering concepts, specifications and standards into practical drawings and technical documentation that enable successful project delivery

Prepare structural, mechanical and electrical design drawings and technical documentation.

Develop construction drawings and design proposals in line with engineering specifications and Australian Standards.

Review and verify drawings produced by third parties to ensure compliance with required standards.

Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and collect measurements for drafting activities.

Maintain drawing databases, libraries, templates and drafting standards.

Support project teams by preparing concept sketches and technical artefacts for option development and decision-making.

Provide technical advice on manufacturing products, systems and services.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting practices, standards and quality systems.

About you

You will be a skilled drafting professional with experience producing technical drawings across mechanical, structural and electrical disciplines.

You are organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes.
