Overview:
We are seeking an intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join a project team working on advanced marine propulsion technology solutions. In this role, you will contribute to large-scale propulsion system delivery projects, supporting both ongoing and new customer initiatives in an international engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical design tasks related to large-scale marine propulsion system delivery projects.
- Create and maintain project structures and technical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support project execution throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Develop and implement innovative technical solutions.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Approximately 2 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Strong hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools (NX and Teamcenter experience is an advantage, but experience with other CAD and PDM/PLM systems is also highly relevant).
- Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Good written and spoken Finnish and English skills.
- The right attitude, a willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for challenging engineering projects.
Role 2: Automation & SCADA Developer:
Location: Helsinki, Finland (100% Remote)
Assignment Period: 01.10.2026 – 31.08.2027
Overview:
We are looking for a Automation Developer to join an IT/OT Interfaces Team responsible for ensuring uninterrupted data flow between production facilities, networks, and control room systems. The role enables real-time operational visibility, automated control, and reliable operation of business-critical production systems while supporting cybersecurity for the automation layer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop energy management and automation solutions with a focus on SCADA and OT environments.
- Design and implement distributed, scalable PLC solutions for energy production environments.
- Deliver automation and SCADA integrations to production facilities.
- Develop and maintain high-quality software components and critical operational systems.
- Ensure OT and IT solutions meet operational, quality, and deployment requirements while contributing to software engineering best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in automation software development or industrial software engineering.
- Strong understanding of automation, SCADA, and OT systems.
- Experience with industrial communication and integration protocols, including OPC UA, IEC-104, Modbus TCP, and ICCP.
- Hands-on PLC programming experience, preferably with Codesys.
- Fluent English language skills; Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with WinCC OA development, WAGO PLC solutions, OT cybersecurity, and Git/CI/CD pipelines.
