Job description We are always on the lookout for talented candidates with experience in or passion for the maritime industry. Whether you are a junior professional eager to learn or a seasoned expert ready to lead complex projects, we want to hear from you. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of our engineering team, contributing to the design and development of mechanical systems for commercial and pleasure craft. Your work will involve creating innovative solutions that ensure functionality, safety, and efficiency across a variety of projects. Possible responsibilities Design and develop mechanical systems and components in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Create and optimise 3D models using SolidWorks, or similar CAD software. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and project success. Participate in concept development, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering phases. Provide innovative solutions to improve performance, sustainability, and safety. Support production teams with technical documentation and problem-solving. Engage in customer communication (depending on experience level) to ensure alignment with project goals. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Interest or experience in the maritime industry, small crafts, or commercial vessel design. Familiarity or experience with SolidWorks, Rhino, or other parametric 3D software. Experience or knowledge of sheet metal engineering. Understanding of mechanical design principles and production processes. Fluent in English (spoken and written); Finnish language skills are considered a plus. Willingness to learn and develop your skills. Proactive way of working and strong self-management skills.
