We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will take ownership of mechanical systems and subsystems from concept through detailed design, testing, and handover, working on complex vehicle- and container-based products for the defence sector. This role offers the opportunity to grow into leading complete mechanical system designs, influence product architecture, and take on broader technical responsibility as the team grows.

What you will be doing:

• Own mechanical design of subsystems and products from concept through production, ensuring performance, structural integrity, and manufacturability.

• Translate stakeholder and product requirements into mechanical concepts, system requirements, and component solutions.

• Perform engineering analysis, including FEM and calculations related to loads, stresses, thermal performance, and design margins.

• Create 3D CAD models, production drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and other technical documentation.

• Prototype, test, troubleshoot, and identify root causes of mechanical issues in prototypes and production units.

• Work closely with electrical, software, manufacturing, lifecycle management, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.

• Contribute to mechanical design standards, best practices, component libraries, and product architecture.

What we are looking for:

• At least 3 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.

• Proven ability to independently design mechanical systems or subsystems and take ownership from concept through testing and delivery.

• Experience with manufacturing technologies such as milling, welding, and sheet metal, with a strong understanding of designing for manufacturability.

• Relevant education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, product development, or a related field is an advantage.

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and basic FEM knowledge is a plus.

• Experience in automotive, military, machinery design, or similar vehicle-based systems is highly relevant.

• Comfortable working with complex requirements, standards, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
