Job Summary: The Mechanical Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components and has a significant impact on product innovation, cost, schedule, and feature sets. The position requires the application of engineering principles to the design of sellable and internal company products. Duties and Responsibilities: Component and simple assembly design Product development activities ranging from conceptual development, prototyping, and design validation to manufacturing and existing product support; individually and collaboratively Collaboration with engineers of various disciplines to develop products with electromechanical and mechanical content Mechanical drafting and technical document authoring Conduct tests, design manufacturing fixtures, support senior colleagues May include involvement in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of products as required to accomplish company goals Provide guidance to fellow team members Perform other job-related duties as assigned
