Join our engineering team in Laatzen, Germany, the global headquarters of Emerson’s Motion Control Business. In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative electric and pneumatic actuators with embedded electronics for industrial automation. Working in a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, mechatronics, and software engineers, you will develop new firmware platforms based on product requirements and help create solutions that meet customer needs while driving market success. You will collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Laboratory, Quality, Sales, and Operations, as well as with international engineering teams, gaining valuable experience and opportunities for professional growth.
Location Requirement: Please note that relocation support is not available for this role. Applications will only be considered from candidates who are currently based in Germany and have valid work authorization.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Develop mechatronic, electric and pneumatic modules with embedded electronics
  • Develop and optimize control algorithms
  • Programming of firmware and hardware solutions, including FPGAs
  • Create and support hardware and software test concepts
  • Contribute to development projects focused on new electric and hybrid actuators and platform solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable processes and project milestones
  • Contribute to the definition of functional specifications based on approved product requirements
  • Collaborate in international, interdisciplinary and cross-functional development teams
  • Develop innovative solution concepts within product development projects using appropriate methods and integrating new technologies

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or related technical field
  • 5+ years of professional experience, ideally in Automation technologies
  • Very good knowledge in FPGA programming with VHDL / C
  • Good knowledge of control engineering
  • Good knowledge of common CAD systems
  • Very good communication skills in both English and German, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel (~20%)
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Another language is a plus
  • Experience working in global teams with colleagues across Asia and the Americas
  • Basic Knowledge in PCB Design with Altium
  • Good knowledge of CREO/Windchill is a plus
