Job Description - Medical Assistant Certified - USFTGP Otolaryngology (240002AO) Job Description Medical Assistant Certified - USFTGP Otolaryngology - ( 240002AO ) Description Job Description: Under general supervision of the department manager, medical staff, nursing staff, and Sr Medical Assistant/Lead Medical Assistant, the Certified Medical Assistant follows policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and clerical support such as patient rooming in addition to assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, chart preparation, obtaining referral notes, images and lab results prior to patient visits. Qualifications Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Certification/Registration as a CMA or RMA through one of the national certifying organizations required. BLS/AED certification is required and must be maintained; demonstrated competency within 90 days required. Experience: Experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare facility preferred.
