Medical Biller (Hybrid)

The Role: Front-end of the billing cycle: verifying patient insurance, gathering necessary documentation, data entry, and ensuring patient files are complete before claims are submitted.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

What We're Looking For

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer literacy, with the ability to quickly learn new software systems and navigate multiple screen
• Excellent communication skills and a polite, professional phone etiquette.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy—data entry precision is critical in medical billing.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Accurately enter patient demographics, insurance information, and provider details into our billing software.
• Organize and scan medical records, ensuring all patient files are up-to-date and securely stored in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Contact insurance companies (via web portals or phone) to verify active coverage, deductibles, and co-insurance amounts for incoming patients.
• Review patient files to ensure basic compliance documents are present and signed (e.g., Physician’s Written Orders, delivery receipts, and patient consent forms).
• Follow up with internal clinical staff or referring physician offices to track down missing signatures or paperwork.
• Answer basic patient inquiries regarding their account balances or billing statements.
