About the Opportunity
We are currently building a talent pool of qualified Medical Billers for potential upcoming opportunities with our clients.
This is a pooling opportunity and not an immediate hiring position. Candidates who meet our requirements may be contacted when a suitable Medical Billing position becomes available.
Position: Medical Biller
We are looking for detail-oriented and organized professionals with experience in medical billing, claims processing, insurance verification, and healthcare administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the client and specific role, responsibilities may include:
- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies.
- Review patient and billing information for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies and claim issues.
- Post payments and accurately update patient accounts.
- Process and review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs).
- Perform accounts receivable follow-ups and insurance aging reviews.
- Communicate with insurance providers regarding claim status and payment issues.
- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
- Follow HIPAA and applicable healthcare privacy and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and internal teams when additional information is required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in medical billing or healthcare administrative support.
- Familiarity with the U.S. healthcare and medical insurance system.
- Knowledge of insurance claims, billing procedures, EOBs, ERAs, and denial management.
- Experience with medical billing software, EMR/EHR systems, or practice management systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential patient information professionally.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different client processes and systems.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
- Medical claims processing
- Insurance verification
- Accounts receivable
- Denial management
- Payment posting
- Prior authorization
- Patient billing
- Medical coding or CPT/ICD-10 familiarity
- U.S. healthcare accounts
