Medical Director, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry | Hybrid (Central PA)

Salary Starting at $350,000 annually, with higher compensation available based on experience and qualifications

Lead psychiatric care across 13 youth programs, reporting directly to the CEO.

Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is looking for a child and adolescent psychiatrist to serve as our Medical Director. You'll set the psychiatric vision across our residential, outpatient, community-based, and autism programs in Pennsylvania and Ohio. You'll have a direct voice in how the organization grows.

Why this role

  • Direct line to the top: You report to the CEO and lead psychiatric care across 13 programs in PA and OH, including our Ohio residential treatment facility.
  • A team behind you: You supervise 1–2 psychiatric NPs and 5–8 RNs/LPNs, alongside therapists and multidisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Dedicated leadership time: You have one administrative day a week for program development, quality, and supervision. The rest is clinical work: evaluations, medication management, and case consultation.
  • Hybrid schedule: You're onsite two days a week in Williamsport and one in Danville Pennsylvania. Work from home / telemedicine permitted up to 2 days per week.
  • Work that matters: Our youth have complex needs, including trauma, autism spectrum disorders, problematic sexual behaviors, and co-occurring conditions. You'll set the standard for how they're treated.

What you'll do

  • Set evidence-based, trauma-informed prescribing standards and clinical protocols across all 13 programs.
  • Supervise and mentor psychiatric NPs and nursing staff, including peer review, case consultation, and help recruiting new providers.
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership on new services, quality improvement, and accreditation.
  • Teach and consult with therapists, nurses, and treatment teams.
  • Provide evaluations, medication management, and crisis consultation.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary Starting at $350,000 annually, with higher compensation available based on experience and qualifications.
  • 5 weeks PTO annually, with option to rollover up to 180 hours annually
  • CME reimbursement, plus access to our online learning portal
  • Relocation assistance
  • Reimbursement for malpractice coverage
  • Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match
  • Central Pennsylvania's low cost of living

What you bring

  • MD/DO; BC/BE in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • General psychiatrists (board certified) with substantial child and adolescent experience will also be considered.
  • PA license, or eligibility to obtain one
  • Willingness to obtain Ohio licensure to oversee our Ohio residential treatment facility (we support the licensing process)
  • Prior supervision or director experience is a plus but not required.
