Summary: We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our team at SpyGlass Pharma. This field-based role will support SpyGlass Pharma's clinical development programs, with an immediate focus on Phase 3 clinical trial execution and site engagement across an assigned territory. The MSL will serve as a key scientific resource to investigators, healthcare providers, and study site personnel, supporting protocol education, trial awareness, patient identification and referral initiatives, and effective study execution. The role will also contribute to broader scientific engagement and the continued development of SpyGlass Pharma's field medical capabilities as the organization grows. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Execute field medical activities supporting Phase 3 clinical trial execution and site engagement within an assigned territory. Develop and maintain strong scientific relationships with clinical investigators, key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers (HCPs), academic institutions, and other relevant stakeholders. Support investigator and study site engagement activities, including trial awareness, protocol education, patient identification strategies, and OD referral initiatives. Serve as a scientific resource to investigators and site personnel, providing clinical, scientific, and protocol-related support throughout study execution. Partner closely with Clinical Operations to identify site-level needs, support enrollment objectives, and address scientific or educational barriers impacting study execution. Facilitate compliant scientific exchange with healthcare professionals regarding clinical data, disease state education, and SpyGlass Pharma's clinical development programs. Represent SpyGlass Pharma at scientific congresses, investigator meetings, advisory boards, and clinical insight sessions, as appropriate. Support scientific congress activities, including external engagement, meeting coordination, and collection of relevant field medical insights. Gather, synthesize, and communicate field insights, competitive intelligence, investigator feedback, and unmet medical needs to appropriate internal cross-functional teams. Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of field activities with clinical development priorities. Contribute to the continued development of field medical processes, tools, engagement approaches, and best practices as organizational needs evolve. Maintain strong scientific and clinical knowledge of ophthalmology, glaucoma, ocular hypertension, and related therapeutic areas. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, GCP, and industry standards. Travel extensively within the assigned geography and attend investigator meetings, scientific conferences, and corporate meetings as required. Qualifications Required For Position: Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, healthcare, or a related scientific or clinical discipline required. Advanced scientific or clinical degree preferred (PharmD, PhD, OD, MD, NP, PA, or equivalent). Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, clinical research, or healthcare industry. Previous MSL, field medical, clinical development, or clinical trial support experience preferred. Experience supporting ophthalmology, glaucoma, ocular hypertension, or related therapeutic areas preferred. Experience supporting late-stage clinical programs or clinical trial site engagement activities preferred. Working knowledge of clinical trial operations, GCP, FDA regulations, and compliant scientific exchange practices. Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with investigators, healthcare providers, and other external stakeholders. Strong scientific communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to understand and communicate complex scientific and clinical information to diverse audiences. Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and execute responsibilities across an assigned territory. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and matrix organizations. Ability to travel up to 50–75% domestically as required.
