Virtual Assistant- Medical Scribe Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe. In this role, you will provide real-time documentation support to healthcare providers during patient encounters, ensuring accurate and comprehensive medical records. Responsibilities: Attend live patient encounters remotely and accurately document all medical information provided by the healthcare provider. Record patient history, symptoms, physical examination findings, procedures performed, and treatment plans in real-time. Transcribe verbal dictation from healthcare providers and accurately enter data into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure thorough and accurate documentation of patient encounters. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information. Review and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness, including demographics, insurance details, and medical history. Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify information and ensure accurate documentation. Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation practices. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience. Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of basic medical concepts. Strong communication and listening skills to effectively capture and document medical information. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is advantageous. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
