Medical Virtual Assistant - Insurance Verification Specialist

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Medical Virtual Assistant to join our team, with a strong background in insurance verification and healthcare administrative support . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident communicating with insurance providers to verify patient eligibility, benefits, coverage, and other insurance-related information. Key Responsibilities Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification for patients. Contact insurance companies to confirm coverage, benefits, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and authorization requirements. Accurately document insurance verification results and patient information. Identify and communicate insurance discrepancies or coverage issues. Coordinate with healthcare providers and internal teams regarding insurance requirements. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Perform other medical administrative and virtual assistant duties as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant , Medical Administrative Assistant, or similar healthcare support role. Hands-on experience in insurance verification is required. Strong understanding of health insurance eligibility, benefits, and verification processes. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Comfortable working with healthcare systems, insurance portals, and electronic medical records. Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote-work environment. Preferred Experience Experience working with Kaiser and Anthem Insurance is a strong advantage and will be highly considered.
